How do you deal with the guilt of working out during work hours, I work from home and i'm efficent enough that I get significant downtime, just feels wrong sneaking away, i've been doing treadmills and push ups in downtime and reading books.
>>77410423There is nothing inherently worth being proud of in slaving your life away, especially if your efforts earn others more money than yourself. If the chap in your image tried to pontificate this point to me, I would very loudly call him and anyone who feels the same, a complete fucking retard. Even if they make quite a lot of money, unless my previous point isn't true, they're still a wage slave.
>>77410423no guilt, never apologize for not showing sufficient deference to Mr Coinstein's operation while you're working and he's walking around the office talking to people about baseball
>>77410423Dude's a wagie, or a contractor. If the former, he's getting paid for the 100 hours he's working a week, and should stop being a little bitch about it. If the latter, he's trying to finish the contract so that he can move on to the next one as fast as possible, in which case he's making a deliberate choice to work 100 hours a week. Either way, he's not giving me his problem and should shut the fuck up about it.
You deal with the guilt by feeling none. Your employer would replace you without hesitation if they could find someone to do your job at 80% effectiveness but 75% of the cost. Time theft is service to God.
>>77410423Guilty for what? I'm underpaid and overworked. I don't give a shit about my boss being able to afford his new truck or boat
>>77410423>How do you deal with the guilt of working out during work hoursBy not being american goycattle
Yes, Employim, work 100 hours a week. Make your job your sole identity and source of meaning. Maximize (((shareholder value))).
my "work" now consists of occasional meetings where i sit in silence and sending emails where i say "is this done yet"i work from home so i live like a NEET basically
>>77410423Bruh just grow a beard and shave your head and lift weights and wear walmart costco clothes and baseball capNo one will ever question why you work out during work hoursTheyll assume youre a bodybuilder contractor tradie or something
>>77410423>>77410423lmao i worked hard and invested wisely - i retired at 34if you still work for a wage lower your tone when talking to me
You little zoomer millennial faggots don’t know what real work is.
>>77410599shut up europoor
>>77410835> Theyll assume youre a contractor tradie Why would I want to let people think I am a low iq blue collar loser?
You’re a member of the quasi-gentry. This is how all civilizations are at all times in all places. Do you think knights felt guilty when they trained with spears at 11 am instead of toiling in the fields? No. Just appreciate the fact that you’re higher class and put it to good use.
Guilt lmao fuck that I wish I could work out in my office, best I can do is read books while pretending to work

>>77411931>Curious how every /fit/ posters seems to work frim home.Cushy office jobs are low energy enough that you actually have fuel left in the tank to hit the gym when you get home. Manual labor eats into your energy budget without giving you significant hypertrophy.

>>77410423
>>77411931>>77410423I used to work factories as a process engineer, but being in Injection moulding meant I got absolutely covered in shit, can you constantly take tools apart in the press and outside, because tool-room guys were retarded, had to change inserts and remove stuck mouldings on test tools, load tools and plumb then (because setters were retards), goddamn I love that I now get to work from home and play crimson desert.Only issue is, I have to fit in a long daily walk as well as workout, otherwise I am literally sitting on my ass all day.>>77410435>>77411929He looks like an engineer on an oil rig, so probably earns decently well with significant time off in his off season, and tax free income.

>>77412455>an engineer on an oil rigis absolutely not working 100 hours a week. Then again he could be salary and lying out his ass. I know so many foreman/architects/engineers that spend more time traveling & in hotels than on site and they all act like they're busting their asses as hard as the yellow hats.>spoiler alert>Literally none of them do.
>>77411948JUST wake up earlier and hit the gym before work, also don't do retard amounts of volume if you're a tradie. You can also program your heaviest lifts to your days off work.
>>77413218This. If you're not in a sport anymore you better train for your career which is much more complicated by the way but you should physically training be for any job no matter what it is.
>>77413222I do trades and one particular trade I had for a long time, had 12 hour shifts 7 days a week but like you said (never heard of anyone doing a 100 hour week, that's why rotating shifts were made) I was the guy doing repairs and building, not an engineer bumbling around in an air conditioned office. The other thing people don't realize is even though massive workloads and long hours happen they are usually for a month or month and a half, on average, for a turn around on an industrial site. 70% of my time was an 8 hour shift like most people who work.
>>77410423>How do you deal with the guiltPsychopathy
>>77410423People like this have the worst lives. They work long and hard hours and cope by spending all their money on drugs and alcohol. Every blue collar worker is addicted to some shit

>>77410423I tried doing some push ups on my downtime one time, and this one HANDSOME man, quite literally was like, check this out! Then proceeds to spider-man climb up a support beam, and was just like try catching the sky hook.

'Working' from home is not work. If you're not outdoors doing something physical you're not actually working. Cope all you want.

>>77410423Don’t feel guilty at all bro. I worked my ass off for the past 5 years doing extreme physical labor as a welder/fabricator. I built and welded on very complex boilers, pressure vessels, and pipe runs. Try wrapping yourself in fire resistant PPE and leather on a hot day and then welding in that for 8+ hours a day. No one gives a fuck about how hard your day was physically or how you built something made of steel that will last hundreds of years. Your body does care, and if you got a job where you can take care of yourself without having to do back breaking labor be happy. Just left welding and I can finally lift again. I got lucky and was offered a great paying white collar job and I’m never looking back.
>>77416816Damn bro. Eployim dealing in the real world type shit.
>>77416816It's a shame that within the next ten years all non-executive white collar jobs will be replaced by AI.
>>77417054I think that’s largely correct but I’m in a very specific white collar job where it’s essential to only meet in person. Don’t want to get more specific, but it is also a position that is directly involved with welding. By the time I’m replaceable, most (if not all) welding will be automated. Fun fact is that Spacex is going to rewrite the limitations of automated welding, I think they’re leading the way by a large margin. In any case, I’m not worried.>>77417051I don’t understand what you’re saying
