Is going for walks actually really good for you or is it a scam?

If you need calorie defecit. Walking is god tier. Similar calorie burn to all other cardio exercises. But if you need to cardio for other purposes. It's probably not the way to go.

No it’s not exercise. You can’t alleviate your heart enough for a good burn

>>
>>77417096
It's good for you but I wouldn't call it exercise.
If done enough it can have some health benefits.
But it doesn't elevate the your heart rate enough to really get strong cardiovascular benefits.
>>
>>77418158
Depends on the terrain. If you’re in an area with some decent sized hills, you’ll get some good cardio out of it.
>>
>>77418169
True
If your constantly going up and down hills, for example, your heart rate will be elevated and would probably build some leg muscle.
But I don't think most people think of that when they think walking.

Such a low IQ post, then you will turn around and claim CICO is your religion, after you dismissed most efficient CO you can do.
>>
Walking is just as beneficial for cardio gains as curling 1kg all day is for muscle gains
>>
>>77418919
Curling is worthless unlike walking, you're a moron.

I’ve noticed after workouts or a day after. A 45 min walk gives my body a huge pump. Just blood flowing every where.
>>
>>77418158
You only need to walk at a brisk pace, depending on you cardio level as long as you're in zone 2 heart rate there's many benefits. If you don't know what wtf zone 2 and it's benefits are look it up before spouting nonsense.

If you really want to get shredded, just increase your daily step count.
>walking after every meal improves digestion
>walking in the forest gives you beneficial NIR and green light
>walking on an empty stomach
>rucking, which is simply walking with extra weight is great cardio
>if you dialed in your calories you can easily control your deficit with your steps

90% of my days look like this:
>wake at 5.30 and go for a walk on an empty stomach (I watch sunrise every day to dial in my circadian clock)
>that’s already around 4,000 steps, even before my day has properly begun
>walk for 10-20 minutes after breakfast
>walk for 10.20 minutes after lunch
>a long walk after dinner, if possible, watch the sunset
>walk around as much as possible (while brushing your teeth, while on the phone, walking pad under the desk...)
>I try to walk at least 12k steps every day and if things get too hectic and I don’t manage it I make up the shortfall at the weekend
>and even if I managed to hit my goals I still go for a hike just for fun

If I want to cut for summer I'll simply increase my steps, do some sprints during my walks, go more for brisk walks, go for a ruck. Due to my habit of walking I maintain a very healthy body fat percentage of 12–15 % all year round. It doesn’t affect my recovery from training and I’d even say it helps me. After a hard leg workout, for example, a long walk the following days does me good, despite the muscle soreness. Promotes blood circulation and overall it is very beneficial for the entire lymphatic system. And in the summer I get a nice tan because I spend so much time in the woods and the sun light filtered through the leaves is particularly good for the skin (I’m a fair-skinned, blue-eyed German)

sure this is sustainable but its very slow, theres a reason why incline treadmilling is so popular, it burns 2-3x the calories that flat walking does and you basically recover instantly.
>>
>>77419645
My whole approach is kinda like a "minimum effective dose".
Just like my workout plan is the bare minimum and everything extra depends on my mood/health on that day. I’ve noticed that many of my friends follow a comprehensive bodybuilding routine and end up skipping far more training sessions than I do. My routine is so minimal that even on bad days I'm most likely to do it anyway. But when I extrapolated that to a full year, I end up making significantly more volume than my friends.

Find out what your minimum is and do more if you want to, depending on how you feel that day. Over the course of a year, consistency is clearly more valuable than the effort you put into individual training sessions.

I lost 70 pounds with the only exercise I did being walking. Yeah, it's a slow as fuck process, but I had minimal stretch marks afterward.

Its good for you if you're a trooned out wog.

I did 15,000 steps today and can barely tell a difference

Unless tour going on some 20,000 step hike, no. It isnt pushing your muaxular or aerobic system to any degree, it's essentially neet. Walking in nature is still good id say for mindfulness and an excuse to leave the house, but for losing weight you'd get the same out of doing anything else. Even just a few burpees when you die in ur autism game would suit you better.
Or just wave your arms around like the retard you are.
>>
>>77419515
Crazy shit. It’s almost as if your body needs to supply the involved muscles with oxygen.

>>77417096
