not even 30yo

generally hopped off quad centric leg days after sharp pain in knees when squatting

decided to try a few bulg split squats with even 20lb and felt sharp pain during the dip

I can still run fine / cardio in peace but are quad/front leg - leg days basically over.

question being , anyone overcome this severity? or are my knees basically cooked and its a wrap?

/ I should be getting on a waitlist for a kneecap surgery or something

Shouldn't have listened to imageboards.

idk my knees are fine

how's your ankle dorsiflexion

you probably aren't warming up and stretching enough so it causes tracking slightly off center in the knee which strains certain points too much

Patella Femoral Syndrome
Typically caused by a muscle imbalance between the inner and outer quads, which guide the knee cap through the joint
Fix is to stop leg exercises that require a bent knee until the inflammation goes away, then work on fixing the muscle imbalance (depends on which quad is weakest)
Or wear a knee wrap, which will force the knee cap to track through the joint correctly
