Are they worth it?
I figure a few sets of kettlebell OHP and dips twice a week is perfect for chest, back muscles are more important anyway
>>77420354Ohp for chest?
>>77420408I'm gonna guess he meant he's doing them as well for shoulders and the dips are for the chest and that should cover him. I would definitely include push ups as they're great at hitting the core too.
>>77420325Yes
>>77420325Dips are excellent for chest development. Ring push-ups are also underrated
>>77420325SOME SWEAR BY THEM,OTHERS BLOW OUT THEIR SHOULDERS,I AVOIDED THEM,
>>77420354Dips for super low chest and KB ohp for super upper chest part i figure. Then lat raises andfor mid Delta and rows do back delts. I could be retarded though
>>77420325ive started to do super deep rom dips on the assisted machine for tris. locked or keyed?
>>77420325I've completely replaced bench with weighted dips. It feels so much better for me. I've also replaced OHP with landmine press.
>>77420638>assisted machinewhy even bother
>>77420653because if youre not a twink going full rom is risking blowing out your shoulder
I fucking love dips bros
>>77420655>full rom blows shoulderIm glad my shoulders aren't made of glass KWAB
>>77420325Great way to tear your rotator cuff. Dips are top tier, just don't add weight. Slow down and rep them out instead. You've been warned. Took 1.5 year to heal
>>77420325Yes.
>>77420325Fucks your shouldersDo bench like all the normal peopleEveryone i know doing dips as a cope for their sub-3pl bench
>>77420325I've started doing these in the park where I found some bars, and I don't feel these in my triceps at all. Great for chest
>>77420325Every cost/risk analysis of lifting starts with your anatomy. Yes it's possible to have shoulders or leverages that make this lift far riskier or less beneficial.
>>77420325>Are they worth it?Yes, I alternate every 2 days between bench press and dips. It's easier on the old tendonitis.
>>77420831>Fucks your shouldersFix your form
>>77420844I bench, nothing to fix
>>77420840If you are going all the way down with considerable weight then rip your shoulders. Do that shit with lighter weight until it is a stronger movement unless your goal is to win a pissing contest.
>>77420828I do these on the rails right outside my house. They're great.
>>77421386You are lucky to have something that you don't have to open hand
>>77420325I would rather bench 80-90%
>>77420831>Fucks your shoulders>Do benchMeanwhile irl with dips your shoulder joint can move freely, and everybody who benches for any length of time develops fucked up shoulders
>>77421402Dips are the first thing I can't do heavy
>>77421410That's what it feels like when you do exercise that is beneficial and actually trains something - you cannot do it heavy.Same reason why you can deadlift 1000lbs but struggle to lift up a basket of eggs on your granpa's farm, timmie.
>>77420655Die the opposite for me. I often woke up with shoulder pain or while on the pec fly. Doing deep slow dips made my shoulders bulletproof. Just make sure to warm up your rotator cuff.
>>77420325I don't think they are. The shearing forces with weighted dips are immense. I've done 100kg for paused reps @110kg bwm
>>77420325i can't do them at all so i guess yes
>>77421743how fat are you
>>77420325God tier, my pecs and delts are nice and juicy thanks to these and ohp
>>77422214i'm the obesest fat retard in the world
>not ring dips
>>77420354>>77420571I love these lifts but I have to add dumbbell incline press to hit upper chest a little more. I was impressed with how much the old timey single arm overhead lifts work.
>>77420835They can be done several different ways.
