Just organise your diet so that protein comes first and carbs come last. The only thing I've done different is stopped eating sandwiches at work and started eating tuna/mackerel with couscous more often. I've lost 10lbs in the last few weeks and look a lot better for it. Of I can lose the same again I'll have eliminated all my belly fat that I want rid of.

As for workouts it depends what your history is and your goals. Honestly just being consistent is what will work the best. If you've done nothing then pick a full body program you like the look of and stick with it for a few months. Just doing anything as a beginner will get you gains.

For the record I'm similar size to you, 6ft and about 190lbs but I'm 44 and have a herniated disc so I can't do any heavy squats or deadlifts or standing shoulder pressing. I don't even go to the gym anymore. I use my own weights at home and train every day now using a mix of kettlebells, barbell, dumbbells and bodyweight exercises.

Stop worrying about what is best because all our circumstances are different. What might be best for me might not be best for you. The biggest thing you can do is just be consistent. Eat sensibly, go to bed before you get exhausted and be honest in the gym don't half arse it.

>whats the best workout
full body every 48h
>and diet
download some tracking app and be autistic about it, set your weight gain/loss as goal and use this macro split
per kg of total body mass
>proteins 2g
>fats 1g (avoid saturated fats as much as possible)
>rest carbs
for your first x months doing barbell compounds to focus on strength or machines is pretty much the same, just have fun in the weight room and be consistent
