is this what actual natty progression looks like ? did you get more or less ripped than that during your first year of lifting ?
>>
>>77421009
He definitely improved but considering he had a celebrity fitness coach, you would think he would have done better.

You can probably do better in your first year as a natty.

did YOU do better in your first year as a natty ?
>>
>>77421027
Yes, way better than this. I'm actually amazed he worked out a full year and is still at such a high body fat %
>>
>>77421009
You can do a little better. From the looks of his physique he wasn't focusing down any particular muscle groups and just did some sort of full body split. You can get a lot more aesthetic look focusing down your shortcomings and if you use specialized diet regiments you can also get leaner faster without losing out on any gains, but if you were just going to lift and eat better this is realistic.

(for skinnyfat individuals) you either bulk and put up with being a bit fat for a while then cut, or cut and become a skeleton then bulk and build the muscle. but you need to dedicate to whichever path you choose because you cannot build muscle in a deficit.
i took the second option.

Post body

It’s decent enough compared to what most people achieve at the gym (fuck all) but with locked in diet better would have been achieved. In that time he cout have cut to 15% bodyfat and started bulking a bit back up. I guess the approach was to try and have him build muscle in a cut

He needs to stop being fat. One year of natty training is enough to give you a body that is attractive to 95% of women as long as you're lean.
>>
>>77421009
It is crazy how he went from being a thumb to just a normal guy. If he was 16% he might actually look decent in face.
>>
>>77421009

in the actual video he looked tremendously better than the year prior especially his face. but his physique looked strong and athletic in the end.

I actually think it's a promising result. He lost 4% BF and Jeff lost 3% in the 100 days. So, about the same -- and I don't see why we would assume he'd lose more than Jeff considering they were both recomping in the exact same way (same macros and calories, training, etc.). The real takeaway is that starting at a higher bf% doesn't mean you can lose more bf% faster if everything else is equal -- but it does mean you can probably enjoy a relatively larger deficit without wanting to blow your head off, which is why you can usually cut more. They deliberately didn't do that in this challenge.

He lost 10% in a year. Imagine he does that another year and he gets down to 17% with a strong amount of muscle under him. Pretty good, I think. After 3 years he begins to look closer to his brother who has been lifting for a decade longer. I don't think it's that bad.

If you lock in you can do 1kg of true fat loss per week without muscle loss, he should be lean already if he was serious about to

>If you lock in you can do 1kg of true fat loss per week without muscle loss, he should be lean already if he was serious about to
yeah, i think jeff tried that before - yoyo and neck hangs to failure is the result xD

I get better progress in a month or two because I try and know how to lift, diet, and program myself.

Lay off the crack pipe brother

Someone post his routine please

You can do considerably better in a year if you don't follow Nipples retarded lifting advice.
He's done well to make that progress IN SPITE of what Nippynuts had him doing in the gym.

As a natty you must prioritise intensity over everything. No doubt Jeffy had him doing high volume work with lots of RiR training, probably isolations and no decent cardio.
Intense, full body lifting, heavy barbell compounds and weighted calisthenics 3x a week with moderate intensity cardio on the off days... Couple with a carb restricted (low carb not no carb) diet prioritising fat and protein and he'd have been fucking shredded in a year and considerably more muscular.

You absolutely can build muscle in a deficit.

It's pretty apparent that you didn't pay attention or watch the video at all

build muscle from what? if you don't eat the calories to gain weight you're not gonna build muscle.
>>
>>77421461
>>77421461
Nta but what? You get the calories by burning stored fat instead. The actual muscle comes from protein intake, and you can still hit your protein goals while in an overall calorie deficit.
>>
>>77421475
>you can still hit your protein goals while in an overall calorie deficit.
and nothing will happen but lose fat
protein in a deficit maintains the muscle you already have
you'll never build muscle in a deficit no matter what you do

retard

All this is true
>>
>>77421009
He looks like fucking shit this is NOT a natty who ate and trained right
