Serious question: why does this kind of fat refuse to budge when cutting? It’s demoralizing
>>
Because you are supposed to retain some fat for health
>>

It looks like shit
>>
>>77422029
I wish I knew
>>

Per LYLE PBUH ypu lose fat from the inside out and the from top to bottom. Per my experience I lose my love handles at about 16% bf. So if you are 20+% like that picture there is NO HOPE and you better EAT LESS.
>>
>>77422029
you were fed too much goyslop as a kid
>>
>>77422050
Probably
>>

It looks normal because it is. I understand that constant exposure to visual media has rotted your brain thoughever
>>
>>77422049
>16% bf
Mate I'm under 12% and still have lower back/love handle fat. Granted it's nowhere near as much as shown in op but it does seem to be the last to leave and first place to store.
Maybe no-one else sees it but I see it.
>>

increase carb intake and do a mix of intense intervals and easy cardio throughout the week
>>
>>77422062

?
>>

Why not? Are you one of those misinformed individuals that believe carbs make you fat?
>>
>>77422155
carbs make you fat, retard
>>
>>77422166
If you ate a million carbs but your tdee was a million and 1 you woulnt gain any weight. Carbs dont make you fat. Eating too much does. If you ate past your tdee in protein you would also gain weight.

It's way more unattractive to obsess over that then to just have them lol. Fucking lame ass men touching their body in the mirror and crying about it, is fucking insane bro

That isn’t visceral fat wtf
>>
>>77422144
He isn't wrong, leading cause of fatigue is cutting carbs too much.
By ingesting carbs at slightly above maintenance needs and burning them off later to be slightly under the threshold for fat loss. You ensure the body can still function correctly and bit by bit burn off the last amounts of fat.

This is maintainable until around 8-10% with little to no side effects. Under 10% it's a simple how long can you last before you gain weight again. It's not maintainable forever as muscle mass loss will start if you maintain energy output daily.
Around 8% this becomes unstable, the energy requirements must be exact daily or muscle fatigue sets in and muscle loss happens in around 2-4 weeks.
Eventually you will lose enough muscle mass to return you to the more stable 10% body fat.

Also you basically get fat every time you eat at these stages.
You'll wake up in the morning or after a workout be peak shredded and happy with yourself. As soon as you eat really any amount of food and drink water your body will begin the glycogen transfer to fuel muscle mass.
This requires an absurd amount of water at 4 parts water molecule to one part glycogen molecule.
So basically you balloon up instantly after eating or shortly after depending on if you're doing some meme diet like keto.
This has its own health negatives since fighting this process causes extreme health negatives from regular dehydration, etc etc.

My autism aside, if you fuel up with carbs, necessary for proper hydration. You give the body the fuel to burn the extra few calories each workout.
Even if it's just 50 calories more daily.

>We've been over this a million times already.
Inside your head while talking to an AI perhaps.
>>
>>77422223
No. The screenshot is talking about one mechanism, not the whole picture.
It's true that insulin suppresses lipolysis (the release of fat from fat cells). After you eat carbohydrates, insulin rises, and for a few hours your body burns more of the incoming carbohydrate and less stored fat.
That does not mean carbs inherently make you fat.
What determines whether you gain or lose body fat over time is your overall energy balance:
If you eat more calories than you burn, you'll gain fat, whether those calories come from carbs, fat, or protein.
If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you'll lose body fat, even if you eat plenty of carbohydrates.
The reason is that insulin's effect is temporary. Between meals, during exercise, and overnight, insulin falls and fat breakdown increases again. Over days and weeks, what matters is whether your body ends up in a calorie surplus or deficit.
So the statement in the screenshot—"insulin suppresses lipolysis"—is scientifically correct, but it doesn't prove that carbohydrates make people fat. Fat gain requires a sustained calorie surplus.
This is why people can successfully lose weight on:
High-carb, low-fat diets.
Low-carb, high-fat diets.
As long as calories and adequate protein are controlled, both approaches can work

It another reason why YOU value it so highly as a means to measure "health" or "attractiveness." It's a very rare piece of human anatomy that can instantly prove health with visual measurability.

because that's the best place the body can store fat, as close to your center of gravity as possible
it's the first place you start putting fat on and it's the last place you lose it from
unless you're shooting for 10%-12% bf you'll basically always have love handles
the only other option is to hide them by training your obliques so it tapers off into your body's natural V shape
>>

A "balanced diet" is a meaningless buzzword that the mainstream uses to justify a grain-based, plant based diet that kills millions of people every year with heart disease.

Without modern dental hygiene technology (toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental cleanings) your carb-heavy "balanced diet" would've rotten half of your teeth before age 30.

The Mediterranean diet is a meaningless buzzword. And carbs rotting people's teeth is basically established fact that even a 12-year-old child has enough of a brain to understand.

>>
>>77422523
Med diet is a broad dietary pattern, not a single menu. Saying it's a buzzword is like saying 'strength training' is meaningless because there are lots of different exercises
>>
>>77422530
It's a vague bullshit term invented to promote plant-based diets with minimal amounts of meat onto the population.
I'm literally from one of the many Mediterranean countries, and it's always been a stupid meme.
>>
>>77422454
>Without modern dental hygiene technology (toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental cleanings) your carb-heavy "balanced diet" would've rotten half of your teeth before age 30.
This is the smoking gun for me.
>>
>>77422536
The concept came largely from mid-20th century epidemiological research comparing dietary patterns in different populations, especially after the Seven Countries Study. Researchers observed that some Mediterranean populations tended to eat more olive oil, legumes, vegetables, and less red meat than wealthier Western countries at the time. Whether those studies had limitations is a separate question.

Calling it a single 'Mediterranean diet' is definitely misleading. There are dozens of traditional Mediterranean cuisines, many of which eat plenty of meat, cheese, fish, and eggs. It's more of a research label than a historical diet.

The Mediterranean has 20+ countries. Pretending they all ate one diet is like talking about 'the American diet' as if Alaska, Louisiana, and California all eat the same thing.
>>
>>77422489
Why are you angry? Is that a lil Aussie shepherd?
>>
>>77422543
So it's a vague bullshit term.
>>
>>77422562
It's a term describing several related dietary patterns. Vague but not meaningless. Kinda like strength training.

Yeah, it's really a no-brainer.
The mainstream has never had enough balls to tell the people to severely limit their consumption of carbs & sugar.
Even though it's already been proven for 70–80 years that carbs & sugar will literally rot your teeth out of your fucking skull.

They keep tiptoeing around the obvious conclusion and pretending "more research is needed" for something so obvious a 12-year-old child could see it.

How else are you gonna sell sodas, energy drinks, bread, grains, cookies, pasta, rice, cake, potato chips and a zillion other carb-heavy crap if people know it's poison?
All of these products are multiple times the market size of the entire meat industry alone and with much wider profit margins.
>>
>>77422585
Eating refined carbs and sugars are not the same as eating a baked potatoe.
>>
File: The-subhumans-diet.jpg (65 KB, 768x432)
65 KB JPG
>>77422590
It's only a difference of degree. Same outcome, different timeframe.

The teenage kid drinking energy drinks, sodas and potato chips while gaming will rot his teeth before 20.
The peasant that eats bread and potatoes will rot his teeth in his late 20s, before 30.
That's assuming if there were no modern dental hygiene technology (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, etc), like I said before.

I'm not telling you to not eat potatoes but at least be mindful all carbs are all the same crap.
They can be useful for survival purposes or to lower the cost of a diet, but they're not our natural, species-appropriate food.

>>77422543
This fucking ketoschizo is truly retarded.
The Mediterranean geographic area and its groupings of peoples are far more similar to each other than your ridiculous example of Alaska, Louisiana and California, which are not geographically similar and therefore each have different climates, topologies, flora and fauna, human cultures and, of course, cuisine.
Countries are a recent phenomenon, do that number is meaningless. Southern Italian, Greek, Turkish, Middle Eastern and North African diets are far more similar than you're claiming and they are full of veggies and grains. Yes, traditionally there were small amounts of meat when available, as well as dairy and eggs which were a bit more readily available.
You are truly a fucking faggot and there are many of us who wish you would stop shitting up every thread that comes along with your ketoschizo propaganda.

Except people who eat more whole grains live longer and are generally more healthy than those who don't. People who avoid carbs and eat exclusively meat tend to not do so well.

None of this "species appropriate food" means anything. That is just emotional language. We could find alien food on another planet and it could be the most healthy thing ever for us. Health outcomes are literally the only thing that matters.

No, they don't. Don't spout your personal opinions as if they were facts.

>None of this "species appropriate food" means anything. That is just emotional language.
No, it isn't. It's the exact opposite. All animals have a natural diet that is dictated on to them by their biology and their digestive system.
It's pretty obvious which our optimal, species appropriate diet is by just comparing our digestive system to that of other mammals.
It just so happens that the very obvious conclusion of this is also very hurtful to your fragile feelings.

But I also had almost no actual muscle because I tried cutting from skinnyfat and cut way too hard fucking up whatever gains I couldve made at the gym. Decided to lean bulk carefully to ~85 to 90kg and cut properly from then and hopefully ill at least add to my frame and lats to balance out the handles

At 77kg atm and I can start to clearly see my lovehandles getting balanced out by muscle, it was a lot worse looking when I was 77kg skinnyfat

Im assuming you also don't have much muscle and too much fat relative to your weight
but If you're lean and still have handles then gg
