>Start doing cardio again this week
>Treadmill for 20 mins, nothing crazy, just mid intensity
>After feeling really good mentally and stuff
>Hey I might keep doing this
>That night I have a strain in my knee
>Oh well that's normal no?
>Wake up today
>Pain in my knee

Goddamnit bro, why do I have such bad knees? I even make sure to warm up properly and stretch and shit. Is there anything I can do to solve this? Everytime I start running or treadmilling since I was 20 I always get some shit happening in either of my knees

See a physical therapist and get their recommendation (or ask Claude, and be specific with where the pain is, etc)

When I saw a PT they did a bunch of tests and gave me weird squats and band exercises that helped my knee a lot.

I will ask Claude since I don't have money for a pt. How long did it take to heal?

Its probably just your mind being a bitch playing tricks on you. You just want an excuse not to run.
Stop being a little bitch and get your fat ass back on that treadmill. You think 20 minutes was easy? Good Do 40 this time or until you dont give a fuck about your knee anymore.
STAY HARD

dude look into cycling. I fucked my back, shoulder and knee in an accident a few years ago and I gained about 60lbs. I've been riding my bike every other nice day this summer and I'm down 35lbs and almost zero joint pain. it's hard on your arms and core in the beginning, but I think it'd help you a lot. that, or swimming

it's kind of costly to get into but your knees will thank you

Yeah, I cycle everyday to commute but running really helped my posture and back aswell, I really like the feeling of running in general anyways. There's no escape from this gay earth's twisted mercy huh?

what does mid intensity mean? What is your max hr? hr profile during your mid intensity training?
often knee pain from running is weak muscles like your abductor or adductor

Basically start by walking fast for 5 mins, 10 mins of continuous jogging and 5 mins back to walking. Max heartrate around 160 if I remember correctly. I think the machine said 138 average for the whole session.

Ok how do I train those muscles?

come on bros, I have no friends

15 minutes, tops, from zero. You may have to ramp up over weeks.
You know not to run in crocs or Doc Martens, presumably - get proper footwear.

This is definitely a young man. I salute the intent, but don't try to power through knee pain. You will pay double, plus interest, then resent stairs for the back half of your life. I'm 57 and I ran for 22 years, then transitioned into skating after age 50.

Understood mister. 15 mins of jogging or what kind of intensity? I do kind of have to change my shoes I think. Also
>Skating at 50
wtf

Switch to spin for cardio. Stay in the saddle, no heavy resistance. Much easier on the knees than rooning

skating and rollerblading is low impact and I bet it's better than cycling because you still engage your core and stuff.
