i picked up a new hobby, and so i reduced my gym days to 3 sessions per week, assuming id be going into maintenance modebut i am making new gains suddenly for the first time in many years, the random nagging joint and tendon pains ive had have all disappeared, and im starting to be able to progressively overload weight again for the first time in many yearsis this just some kind of short-term boost to having changed my routine? or was the secret to more gains simply just training less and having more days off to recover?I went from PPLPPLx to PxLxPxx Basically cut my Push Pull Legs routine in half
>>77432159You were accumulating damage/fatigue and now you dissipated a large portion if not all of it.Post what your workouts looked like so we can determine if you were doing way too much. You might wanna switch to upper/lower 1.5-2x a week each or full body 3x a week and just do exercises that feel more natural to you for even more drive and potential gains in the future.
>>77432159Bruh you were fatiguing yourself and accumulating tendon damage. Having one day of recovery between workouts is mandatory. If you really want to push a new PR then just take a week to let your tendons heal completely and then go back to 3 times/week.
>>77432159It's pleasantry surprising to realise that>do nothing>winIs a viable strategy that permeates all facets of life.
>>77432229Not OP, but if I do an upper/lower split I should hypothetically be fine even if its 2 days in a row due to hitting different muscle groups? I do compounds though so was wondering if hitting different muscle groups might overlap and fatigue me like OP
You need to confuse the muscles. Youre muscles had gotten used to theyre routine and decided to stop growing. By confusing them they were convinced to grow again
>>77432159you were doing way too much before. 6 days a week is for teenagers, roiders, and retards only. 3 or 4 days is for making actual progress.
