This is actually true. You only need exactly enough protein and fat to build/repair tissue and synethesize hormones and whatnot. Anything more is just wasted at best to harmful at worst. All other calories should come from carbs. At least 50-60%

What is the limit?
Doesn't seem like anyone can even agree on 0.5g or 1g/kg or whatever.

Next headline: "Breathing air leads to premature death."

Studies show the best thing for longevity is to never get out of bed, eat as little as possible, generally do nothing

the lower limit?
anyway the 1g/kg or 0.8g/kg is a general recommendation.I think 1.6-2g per kg has been proven to help increase muscle growth.

From what I remember reading the actual maintenance amount is more like 20-25g or so. Like 0.3g per kg. This is assuming high quality protein with balanced amino acids. You have to keep in mind that when the standard daily dose of 50g or so was defined they also took into account bread and pasta and such which is very unbalanced but it can basically give you half of your protein already. Then 100g of chicken will give you 25 grams of protein.

Picrel is 300g pasta (general grainslop stand in i guess) and 100g chicken breast. Lysine is the one that basically comes mostly from the chicken. Btw I found it interesting that B12 is quite low here, I thought a bit of meat would get you quite far. Seems beef has more though.

i love jews. they are concerned with our health. now they even found out that protein is bad for white men. what a great ally those people!

Historically we ate enough meat/fish/eggs/dairy to survive and little more past that. Overeating is really a function of modernity and this narrative of "too much protein" is really a misunderstanding that modern people eat too much in general and thusly have to eat excessive food just to obtain normal protein. People eating normal diets can eat 150g of protein without even trying, while consuming very few calories.

If you lower your methionine to glycine ratio, you get the same longevity benefits as protein restriction
