Started isolating my calves a few months ago. Seated calf raises are all I do most times, started doing standing ones since I hear it causes more hypertrophy, but it can hurt my lower back, am I gonna regret it only doing seated I hear they're a waste of time aesthetically but they feel good and I'm getting stronger.

Let your calves and feet completely relax at the bottom of each rep and you’ll make good gains
Make sure u don’t bouce

Do low bar squats and conventional deadlifts and forget about calf raises until your lower back is strong.

My lower back IS strong bro I diddly quite well and squat decently

You should do both since they train different muscles. You don't need to do standing and load your spine, what makes the difference is straight vs bent legs. You can do straight leg calf raises on a leg press. Here's all the info you needed

dont relax completely
you still want to be slightly engaged to make sure youre getting the stretch in your muscles and not your tendon
>>
why do I always need to piss after just one set? This doesn't happen with any other exercise not even with standing calf raises.
>>
Do donkey calf raises on a smith machine if standing hurts your lower back. You'll look fruity but theres no better calf exercise.
>>
youll make better gains walking on your tippy toes at home and or public
