>sticky has "proven" exercise routinesBut what if you can't do a single pushup or pull-up? Feels bad man, I just want to get fit enough to climb a mountain before I die
>>77434737unless you're only 45lbs, the bar weighs less than you. Go to the fucking gym.
>>77434737Do couch to 5k then
>>77434737If thats true either you're too young or too disabled to lift traditionally. No other excuses.
>>77434816I'm completely normal, 31 and I did my year in military 10 years ago.
>>77434737Pullups are hard for dyels, especially if they are even the slightest bit overweight. You should be able to do a fucking pushup. Go to the gym.
>>77434901>>77434737You start from the wall then desk pushups then 3rd stairs step pushup then floor. Doing a single good form floor pushup is not easy. It's definitely harder than benching the equivalent weight.
>>77434737>I just want to get fit enough to climb a mountain before I dieDepends on which mountain. You can ''climb'', ie hike to a lot of mountains despite being pretty unfit. it'll be hard, you'll be a hinderance to your team but its doable. A lot of people at my alpinism club cant do a single dip or pull up which speaks volumes. Those who are serious are pretty /fit/ though, at least relative to their bw
>>77434935There are bunch of them in Norway so that would be my first go-to place
>>774349012/14 here
>>77434737Incline push-ups, I did my first ones on a fenceAssisted pull-ups, I did my first ones helping myself up with one legI do wide grip pullups now and decline pushups. Don't worry about where you start, keep going.

>>77435018where im from there are mountains that you can just hike. ''climbing'' a mountain is not really that similar to climbing in a gym. There are technical routes yes but there are easy ass routes too. Just keep in mind the peak is the goal yes but its not the main point. How you get there is what matters. There are literally unfit rich cucks at everest who have zero mountaineering experience for example. Simply for the summit. They learn how to use crampons etc in the base camp. Plus they make the sherpas carry all their shit. The appeal of mountaineering is man versus nature for me. It humbles you a lot and shows you your true colours.
>>77436243Not really. Did SS for a year after getting out. At some point I ballooned up to 125kg, at which point I decided it was time for a change so I lost like 45ish kg. Stayed at that weight for years while only doing pushups at night before bed. Been back at the gym now since december and I'm actually enjoying my time there now since I don't have to squat every single session anymore.
>>77434737Not being able to do a pull up is understandable if you've not trained at all, push up is a bit concerning, but both these things can be easily fixed by doing easier versions of them, negatives etc.. Or just bench the bar? Bench 2lb dumbells if that's your max, just start somewhere and keep going. Lat pull downs, assisted pull up knee shelf thing most gyms have?
try losing weight or work your way up to it
