>Can choose to play any sport you want>Chooses to play the ones that give you brain damageWhat causes this behaviour?
>>77437497Based on the most common shared factors, poverty & the innate aversion to teamwork. I've never known a fighter, from any combat sport that wasn't narcissistic in some way. It's one of the few sports where if you succeed no one even acknowledges the people who supported you.
That's the reason I don't want my future sons to play football
>>77437522pussy
>>77437684They'll play travel hockey or lacrosse instead
manlets can only choose from a couple sports though. Its pretty much combat or lifting.
>>77437497You can get good at martial arts without any sparring but you won't know it and you won't get as good. I would also be careful of someone strong possibly on roids before sparring. No reason to give some casual the advantage because you are young.
>>77437747I trained in a boxing once and it was filled with roided retards in their 30s
>>77437747>You can get good at martial arts without any sparringtaikwandolet spottedsparring is absolutely essential, and no you wont get CTE from light sparring in practice. Nobody goes for knockouts on sparring except people who get banned from gyms.Stop being pussies and learn how to fight.
>>77437497It’s not even the end all be all either. An actual wrestler or judoka that competes can destroy a boxer.
>>77437775I am perfectly ready to hard spar now that I am strong enough and didn't use steroids while young to only beat scrubs
>>77437761I'm stronger than most roiders so they can't really pull some shit on me now
>>77437812Getting tied up in grappling will get you knocked out
>>77437817And the opposite of that is getting slammed and stomped on
>>77437497it's mainly just poor people with athletic talent who stumble into boxing who become elite professionals, no other option, gotta make it happen
>>77437725I was great at soccer, an okay strong safety, and could kick a 40 yard fieldgoal from either hash mark. Usually the top 5 fastest in any highschool team.
>>77437497I competed once in boxing. I honestly dont have a concrete reason as to why I like the sport so much. I genuinely just like it, I think because I watched Avatar the Last Airbender or Dragon Ball as a child and I enjoyed the concept of martial arts and being good at fighting. I dont want to hurt people at all.
>>77437497>What causes this behaviour?low iq
>>77437497boxers usually have psycho dads who raise their boys like pitbulls, there's no other option for them
>>77437725>hehe manlets amirite--ACK
>>77437522Football is practically guaranteed to give them little lifelong injuries the risk of brain injury is enormously overstated. As someone who played D1 football, I’d definitely let my sons play football before I let them box.
>>77437518when i was a kid no one ever passed me the ball so i was able to get my revenge in the form of fighting
It’s a dead sport anyway. MMA has completely replaced it.
>>77437497I didn't know that there are actually guys who make a career out of padding actual prospects' boxing records. They go in knowing they are going to lose and don't even try to win.
>>77437815You don't need to be strong to spar. You've never actually trained and you're delusional if you think you're competent without having sparred
>>77438436Playing flag football at college =! D1 college ball
>>77437497i like to hurt people
>>77437497"Socioeconomic factors"
>>77438822I walked on to a Big Ten program
