Lately, I've been losing weight and going out every weekend, but I've been struggling with the adverse effects of alcohol. Long story short, I believe my T is getting affected. I've read on pubmed that ashwaganda among other compounds can be used to sub out alcohol. Ultimately, I will not quit drinking, but I need to take a long hiatus from it. What are your thoughts on Ashwaganda and do you people have any other ideas for alternatives to alcohol?
The one I'd describe as maybe an alcohol alt is Sensoril but full spectrum is pleasant as well. My favorite is ksm-66 for the precise reason I don't "feel" it as much. It just werx
>>77438015>ultimately I believe my T is getting affectedYou have literally no reason to believe this. You would have no way of knowing what that would even remotely feel like. Self diagnoses isn't valid.
>>77438015just meditate
>>77438154I don't get proper erections anymore.>>77438028It's good to know you have experience with this. I might take a look
>>77439919I'm glad we agree you're self-diagnosing. There could be literally a million reasons for that chiefly among them poor circulation
>>77438154>Self diagnoses isn't valid.self-diagnosis can be valid
>>77439928If its backed up by tests and proof, yes. None of which OP has.
>>77439939tests don't make diagnoses true, they just verify them. unless you mean to suggest any diagnosis without lab testing is invalid?
>>77438015You don't really "feel" ashwagandha. It just sort of calms you down a bit. Coffee is a better alternative, since you are still drinking something, you still get the stimulant effect, and it makes you less prone to addiction in general.
>>77438015As a borderline alcoholic and someone who took ashwaganda for a while this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Alcohol is essentially a hard drug that drastically impacts you mentally and physically, people just don’t think of it as a hard drug because it’s legal. Ashwaganda is a snake oil placebo supplement that doesn’t do jack shit. If you want an actual substitute for alcohol try phenibut. This is a borderline hard drug though too and can really fuck you up if you’re not careful. So read up on it before you take it.
>>77439920I just had a blood pressure test. It probably isn't that. I'm sitting at 127/85 and that was straight after a workout.I was a big time gooner, and I did up till 2 weeks ago drink about 20 standard drinks per weekend.I'm too busy at work to get a testosterone blood test at the moment and I'm stressed out at work because I've begun to hate it ever since I was made to change departments.Next real step would be a T blood test, but I can't really fit it in my schedule. Alcohol is so bad for you, that if you can avoid it, you should. I really only do it for the social reps. But for now, I'm looking for social reps alternatives because I want to wean off drinking, but I also want to get laid/have real human connection with a woman who makes me feel like she and I are the only two people in the world while I slap her ass and play with her boobs and belly.
>>77439942>can be valid>tests verify them>aka make validJust stop posting
>>77439947>I was a big time gooner,Yeah, I wonder for sure what the problem could be here, Better blame your testosterone instead of you hitting the free dopamine button on your brain constantly and causing your own dysfunction.
>>77440007valid here means real. you can't weasel your way out of this one with semantics, sorry
Ashwaganda is a gay herbal ssri that will give you anhedonia and eventually turn you into a zombie. It also makes psychedelics not work if you're into that sort of thing. It's not an alcohol substitute. It doesn't interact with gaba receptors or have vgcc inhibition. You want phenibut or pregabalin for that. You go down a dark path if you ever start taking that stuff more than once per week though. And even if you take it once per week, after months of taking it once per week you start getting bad rebound in the days after with anxiety and almost uncontrollable rage.
>>77440064All I'm hearing is that alcohol is king basically. Phenibut comes up, as well as a lot of GABA receptors and shit.
Will ashwaganda make my ED worse? I'm cortisol maxxing due to job market and thought it might help.
>>77440064Ashwagandha put me into ssri withdrawalI've been having auditory hallucinations for 4 months, but they are drastically better now. I'm also starting to feely emotions again, and get some decent rest. If it affects you poorly, you get absolutely fucked. I didn't even have any symptoms until a week after stopping outside of rapid heat rate and racing thoughts. This shit is poison. There's a reason it's banned in some European countries.
Look into Glycine, helps you sleep and takes your nervous system down a notch. I am relaxed af now with no grogginess, better recovery and a shitload of other things
>>77440230How much are you taking?
>>77440236I take 2g at night but the reccomended dose is 3g. I have seen as much as 50g for schizophrenia
