Personally I want to get /fit/ to be able to march 36 km in 6 hours and also to be able to stand and fight for hours like ancient soldiers did.

We can tell.

6km/h isn't enough to outrun the drone and you arw still in the range of a fibreoptic drone.

Write a book about your imagined adventures.

Well, getting /fit/ would help with that. I wanted a decently paying factory job but had to pass up because my legs are not good due to sedentary lifestyle.
>>77438098
That might be a good idea too.
>>77438097
Well, I was not talking about modern warfare. Better off becoming an engineer so they don't draft you the frontlines then.

But none of you told me why (you) want to get /fit/...

Why not, John Gwynn did. Malice quadrilogy is passable but Bloodsworn, which he was basing on his historical reenactment group, is fucking top notch.

You will have to roid and die in your 30's or 40's for this...

unironically cosplay. Started going to cons with my GF, we want to cosplay, and while she's skinny and can cosplay just about anyone, I was fat. I didn't want to be low-effort, so I started lifting to get in shape for different cosplay. It was a serious motivator; 1) making cosplay from scratch is a huge endeavor and it was great to work in fitness as part of that effort; 2) No way was I going to let my GF look incredible while I be a fat slob piece of shit next to her.

This ended up being the positive feedback loop for me. looking good is awesome (cosplay led me to tailoring my own clothes, and once again I was not going to be tailoring clothes to my fat body); working out makes me feel amazing like nothing else, and being fit means sex is just way better.

I started doing bodyweight stuff for back problems, suddenly I was in shape after being a skinnyfat nerd my entire life. I eventually hit a plateau on that and started hitting weights instead. Now I do it just for the heck of it.
