All these tendon threads are making me scared to increase the weights.
>>77438244If you tear your shit it's permanent
>retards train for muscle growth instead of tendon/ligament maximizationthis is why bruce lee wins against 99% of meatheads here
>>77438244just go by benchmarks and only increase the weight when you can hit 10 reps225 for 10 = start doing 250, 250 for 10 = start doing 275, 275 for 10 = 300, etc
>>77438244Why are you listening to the morons on here? Tendons get strengthened the same way and time your muscles do.This MIGHT not be the case if you take steroids and your muscles grow very fast. But it's not a concern for nattiesRemember, these people saying this stuff DO NOT LIFT or if they do, are terrible and unsuccessful at it.
>>77438279Not true at all. Tendons absolutely can be irritated for natties who push too hard with too much volume and not enough recovery.
don't do a stupid amount of volume or frequency and don't cheat your form to do bigger weights you'll be fine. most tendon injuries are from roids
>>77438244I got tendonitis one time and the doc said I could even go back to lifting after like two days as long as I took my meloxicam and wore my wrist brace.
>>77438298thisi irritated my quadriceps tendon squatting 3 times a week 3x5 after having increased from 100kg to 120kg in like 3 weeksi had knee pain going down stairs etc and had to stop squatting for 2 months straight
>>77438244u dont always need to increase weight. just increase reps and SLOW DOWN. focus on perfect form, do a very slow eccentric phase. you might not have huge mass gains but you will get shredded from doing low and slow with high reps. doing omega heavy 1RM/0RER type lifting a la mentzer works if you're roided, but for natties, you can get a damn good workout (and being much easier on your joints) with lower weight and just high reps and good form.
>>77438279lol moron
>>77438298Maybe if you lift like a moron. I did SS and basically doubled or more all my lifts in a few months and had zero problems>>77438336What are your lifts?
>>77438344>doubled in a few monthsmany people can triple their lifts or more in a few monthsmuscles can outgrow tendons even on nattysit happens
>>77438366No, I don't think it does.
>>77438279Kys zoomer
>>77438244just dont do heavy barbell training no one cares how much you can lift
>>77438244If you're under 30 and eat whole foods regularly (at least 50% animal sources) you should be fine. Mind you most of this boars is neither of those and the rest is mostly over 30.
Is it a tendon issue or a weak forearm muscle issue when it starts to hurt halfway down the forearm if I release my grip too fast? This usually happens after preacher curls using an EZ-bar but occasionally also after double overhand deadlifts. It's only my right arm so far.
>>77438399I'm late 30s. You're a real idiot. What did you intend to accomplish with your post? You are this old and you can't even make basic arguments? Just fart out buzzwords like an ADD child? You should have learned how to communicate by this point.
>>77438251This won't happen unless you get fat or are genetically blessed btw. You'll stall until the heat death of the universe before you even get to 275.
>>77438386muscles and the central nervous system adapt to heavier weights within a week or two while tendons need 6 to 12 weeks to remodel and strengthenthis is a basic medical factdepending on your starting point and genetic predisposition for either weak tendons or high muscle growth and several other factors this can easily happen to many people
>>77438427No, it's broscience garbage. It's wrong. There's absolutely zero medical or physiological reason for that. Nature did not set us up to go around tearing our ACLs constantly.
>>77438433it's just jeets posting that shit because they want people to tear up their joints
>>77438433>REEEEEEEEEE PEEPEE POO POOthere is almost no blood flow in tendons retard
>>77438473You are just objectively wrong about what actually happens.Do you lift? What are your lifts?
>>77438244Only roiders and retards who refuse to eat real food tear tendons If you're natty, train at a reasonable volume and get all your nutrients from whole meat, whole grains, and veggies and only use suppslop in emergencies, you have absolutely no chance of tearing anything except for maybe a muscle here and thereI broke 3/4/5 lean and never tore more than a rotator cuff
>>77438427>Intelligent sounding pseudoscience You know dis nigga took the jab
>>77438244Just use a broader rep range. Like if your range is 10-15 you don't add weight until you're getting 16 reps with it (to failure on a fresh set) then you load it until it's about 12 rep weight do it with 2 rir for a week or two retest failure. If it's still in range but higher rep max just take 2 off the last max reps, and just repeat the process of working out and testing periodically. You won't be bumping up the load vary often unless you're a total novice in which case you probably shouldn't be doing this but it gives a lot of time for connective tissue to adapt to given load before increasing it.
