Fitizen things you do that are not normal go>force yourself to stay awake all night pregaming on a gallon of coffee and your prescription meds to perform full-body compounds at 3am before completing a 3 mile jog at 5am, just to challenge yourself
add neck weight to every workout to fight computer/phone postural issues
>>77438499WeirdWhy even mention your medication Day long pregaming for a normal level of exercise? What? Just weird and pointless behavior
>>77438507Basically just to keep myself awake and awake enough to get up and exercise when groggy cause 3am

>>77438505Pretty sure the back of the neck is the "strong" side because we're constantly hunched overShouldn't he train the front side?
>>77438536Barely holding up something that's drooping out of place isn't really strength. The back is overstretched, which can be retightened by strengthening it, hence why lifting can cause one to become "musclebound" if one doesn't take care to maintain their range of motion. The front is too tight which also needs to be slackened by stretching. Most postural problems are usually one thing becoming too tight and another too loose, causing the default position to shift. The lengths of the muscles adapt you see, the neck was once fine, but over time, choosing to hold it in the wrong place causes the muscle lengths to adapt, making the wrong posture default and requiring exercises to correct.
>>77438536>>77438551I do that too but a pull or good morning with the weight around the neck creates a fun moment arm off the ground that gets less difficult as you approach lockout, like a reverse band, or chains. The bouncing of the band also provides a nice stabilization challenge but I use a chain for flexion or side work Interestingly enough it seems to work the middle or lower traps more than I thought, probably due to scapula retraction and depressionOverall I've been walking straighter and breathing better as a result. 10/10 would recommend for improving c- and t- spine extension
>>77438642thx been looking for some different things to free up my upper back/neck, it's been getting way too stiff. will try some. i keep pulling my left trap somehow the exact same way while doing pullups and have noticed my upper back and neck in general has just got run down in terms of mobility and posture.
>>77438807It goes without saying don't go to failure
Do RMT on the drive to the gym with one of these. I got pulled over by a cop once, thought breather was a weed vape. Was funny as fuck to reply "for breathing," when he asked me "Do you know why I pulled you over." He got real pissy, then I showed him, he just handed it back and walked off without saying a word.
