I have yet to ever see objective proof that someone "raised their metabolism" on the Ray Peat diet. No DLW tests, no calorimetry, nothing. Only personal anecdotes and claims that they lost weight (which could be from increased exercise or non exercise activity thermogenesis). Most people have a basal metabolic rate equivalent to their TDEE calculation based off of height, weight, age, and sex. That is, unless they have some kind of diagnosed metabolic disorder. >IF YOURE NOT 99.67 DEGREES EVERY MORNING YOURE HYPOTHYROID, YOUR METABOLISMS SLOW BROWhatever. Anyways, I like Peat's philosophical approach to life and diet, but it can seriously hold you back if you're objectively trying to change your physical fitness. Keyword OBJECTIVELY. You're going to be completely in the dark if you follow this autist diet and don't track your calories. Chances are you're going to get FAT like people infamously do on it, because drinking sugar drinks and milk all day will leave you UNSATIATED.>M-MY METABOLISM IS GETTING SO FAST BROS! I FEEL SO WARM EVERY MORNING.No, you're drinking a liter of milk instead of eating a fucking bowl of oatmeal or something, that's why you're scarfing down so many cheese slices and mexican cokes. Please just eat a balanced diet replete with nutrients and high quality, organic ingredients if you care about your health. And follow CICO if you want to alter your weight in any way. Peating still mogs keto and raw primal gigautism though, I'll give it that.

>>77438999pretty sure the only thing you can ingest that will legitimately raise your metabolism is DNP
>>77439122>what's t3>what's t4The only thing the stupid zoomer can think is muh dnp
>>77439122Simply eating more will raise your metabolism, so will eating more protein and moving more. The biggest problem most fat people have is actually not that they eat too much. It’s that they move too little. Most people are made to be moving for hours everyday. Yet most people barely move at all. If you look at countries and plot obesity incidence on y axis and energy expenditure on the x axis there’s almost a completely linear downward sloping relationship. It’s the only input that is so perfectly clear. People just need to move more.
>>77439122i take one 125mg capsule of DNP once a week and i feel amazing on the days that i take it. powerfully reduces ROS feels like taking a gram of ubiquionol. if i remember right rat studies show low doses extended lifespan by 25%. >>77438999uh yeah if youre running hotter than youve raised your metabolism? there are many ways to do it as peat says. just taking a 5000iu vitamin D3 can raise temps no need to do a milk only diet. infact drinking tons of cold milk will probably lower your metabolism. but if u add some gelatin sugar & cacao to the milk, warm it and then have it after a workout you will feel the effects
>>77438999Yeah there's no practical in Peating that will raise your metabolism sky high. Avoiding PUFA definitely speeds it up but the only thing I've reliably seen boost people's temps is going high carb low fat low protein, or high fat low carb low protein.
