>be me, teacher
>started back at work last week after summer break
>already feeling ill (fatigue, shortness of breath, body aches, sore throat)

What the fuck is wrong with me, no one else I work with gets sick as often as I do, and even when I'm not acutely ill I basically always feel slightly sick. I've been working with kids for 8 years now and I thought I'd get used to the germs eventually but it still hasn't happened. Is there anything I can do or should I think about finding a different career cause I can't take much more of feeling like shit 24/7 during the school year

Take a zinc + copper supplement with dinner or with food before bed if you aren't already. I take one twice a day without any ill effects though I know some people have issues with nausea.

Is your building old and a mold factory? Or something in the ventilation?

get your vitamin D levels checked

What are kids like these days?

Fucking... Why? Just... Why?
>>77447884
They're mostly apathetic angsty retards that act like life is meaningless or niggers of every color.
>t. A concerned parent who managed to get his oldest into college before even finishing high school despite the shitty influences from other students and their equally shitty parents.

I actually have some zinc immune supplements, guess I should try taking them again. What does the copper do though?
>>77447850
Possibly, the building is old and the ventilation isn't great.
>>77447872
I had low levels when tested a couple years back, the doctor didn't seem to think it mattered though. Should I start supplementing it?
>>77447884
Kids are kids, I guess. I work in elementary and generally like my students pretty well. The biggest change I've noticed the past few years is there does seem to be more emotional/behavioral problems, but I don't know if that's because there's actually more of that going on in general, or if it's due to the dismantling of special education and forcing kids who would have otherwise been in sped classes into mainstream classrooms in the name of inclusivity.

Seriously? I'm not denying the sped thing is an issue, but you ought to know damn well it's mostly because of parents that don't give a shit (low conflict varieties, either gentle enablers or dindu nuffin markers) and unrestricted brain rot screen time.

What do you teach? If it's anything below high school then that makes sense that you get sick because kids are fucking DISGUSTING NASTY LITTLE SHITS. Triple that if you're teaching elementary kids as they are always dirty or sticky and shit. Honestly all you can do is take vitamins and supplements and try and boost your immune system. If you have a poor immune system or get sick easily, working with little shitters is the last thing you should do as a career.

Copper is required to properly absorb the zinc
>>
>>77449741
can I melt the copper from the wires and ingest it that way?
>>
>>77449852
I am neither a doctor nor an electrician so all I can say is results may vary
>>
>>77447673
Are you sick? Or are you just stressed? I normally find that I feel off the first month or so of school just because the kids are a lot. Also, the sore throat could just be from talking all day.
