I need your help.

I booked a gym membership for the first time ever and i literally dont know what to do.
Do i just turn up at the gym and start using machines? I used Claude to generate a workout for me focusing on my arms, chest, abs, shoulders but i dont know what the fuck in do.

Do i just turn up, use a machine for 20 mins then rest, then use a different machine? What if someones using a machine i want? Do i wait and just sit down? Can I listen to music on my headphones? Do i need to socialise? I dont know anything

1. Search / Buy whatever some workout for beginners.
2. Search every exercise on YouTube.
3. Go to the gym

OR

Hire a personal trainer in the gym for some sessions

Yeah pretty much just fuck around until your work capacity goes the fuck up so you can actually go to failure

yeah im not doing that

>>77449915
Ill do this. Seems you just go to the gym as a beginner and learn as you run. Can i just go to a machine and start working out ? Ill watch some vids on youutbe on how they work
>>
>>77449935
Yeah I think as a beginner the key is to have fun with it and make it as easy as possible for you to come back. I would just learn machines and whatever other weights you want to learn and focus on that aspect and u will naturally just want to do more and dial it in in a few months. The key is to just show up whether it's four days a week or three or two or one or six just show up and do whateverrepetition eventually turns to something new
>>
>>77449935
Once u want a program I think that full body four days a week is really fucking good. Do warm up sets then do two working sets to true failure. The weight should be heavy enough so you fail within 5 to 8 reps.

what if someone laughs at me

>Claude
faggot
>Machines
faggot
If the station you want is occupied, ask how many sets they have left, if only 1 or 2 wait, if more start with another exercise.
And call it if more and keep your eye on them.
>Has anyone called it after you?
Nah
>Can I get it? Thanks, bro.
Yeah
>Bummer, alright.
>>
>>77449896
Yeah. You'll probably have to scan in at the reception and just head for the lifting area. I've been to between 20-30 gyms over the past 6 years and I get confused occasionally at certain locations. Don't sweat it at all. Keep going.
>use a machine for 20 mins
Try not to use it for 20 minutes straight. Take at least 2 breaks while increasing the weight with a minute or two rest between sets. You can take as long as you want but it shouldn't take take as long as you probably think. You'll get the hang of it in no time and people are generally courteous at gyms especially if you are a newbie. If you want you could ask somebody and they'd probably be happy to help.

Wipe down your equipment when you are done. They supply spray bottles and rags or those little wet wipe cloths in designated places you'll get used to. Some people will wipe down their bar/dumbbells/etc but fuck that noise
>>
>>77449996
Don’t do this, only fags wipe equipment and it’s a humiliation ritual, the gym has Jannie’s for that

Literally nobody gives a fuck. On the off chance that you do get some dickhead mocking you within earshot, they are almost always both unimpressive and brown. If you put consistent effort into the gym, you can surpass the average normie gym goer within a year.

>t. Former fatasfatass who once got mocked by brown teenagers taking turns benching one plate.

Read this first
https://rippedbody.com/protein-powder-scams/

Whey concentrate is regular
Whey isolate is premium, easier on the gut
Casein is slow digesting
Plant protein is trash, but if you have to you want a mix of pea and rice @ ~60/40.

This thread comes up a lot. Yes, literally just wander around and try shit. You will never be able to read a guide that makes you understand or feel comfortable until you actually work out.

Just do a full body 3x a week until you feel good enough to specialize. That way you also have more flexibility on machines and weights if other people are using them and you are too shy to talk to anyone.

You will eventually get comfortable and can get more complex.
