I am going back to college at 27 for Accounting. Will being jacked influence this in any way?
>>
>>77456078
No more than it does in normal life if you stay natty.
There will be petty nerds and total bros and horny 44 year old Jennas and sad but sweet Courtney
The thing that will mess you up even as a natty is wearing that borderline sexcore stuff to "show off gains"
Walk quietly and carry a big stick
>>
>>77456078
No effect.
I think vain preening faggots generally do lazy paperwork which will get you jail time in accounting.

Chartered accountant here
Got more female attention and respect when i went from swole to lean(you look more sleek in formal wear)
You wont look like you lift but it works well if youre above average height
If youre short or average results may vary.
Regardless ill say lean is better because youll encounter ALOT of tubby people in office jobs because they were nerds who didnt take interest in lifting in earlier years

>>

Yes being swole and filling in a shirt is great, everyone will notice you if you have big shoulders and arms and give you advantage in your field.
I literally got hired because I had a firm handshake and mogged everyone at the office in my first programming job.
Don't listen to the twinks, nobody will see your abs in the office.

Being fit will make people respect you more, unless you're obviously not natty - too much size can look kinda ridiculous and formalwear may no longer fit you
>>
>>77456117
I am only 5'9", how bad is that? I am also more into bouldering than gym but I try to do both, so I got huge forearms and an insanely wide back as well as shoulders. Oh and I got a massive ass because I Squat 3x a week after every climbing session.

There’s nothing wrong with that but I’m curious what you’ve done for the last 9 years and what kind of college you’ll be going to.

>>77456148
Most women will consider you short. Not really sure what to tell you about that. Wear lifts and thick soled shoes to make you look 5’10”-5’11” or something. Bouldering is big in a lot of college towns and is a good way to meet people. Sadly, being older you won’t be living the 21 year old socialite life you missed out on. You can date but socializing a whole lot won’t be in the cards for you. Once you miss that window, you miss it. Just what it is.
>>
It doesn’t hurt but it’s better to be slender with broad shoulders than anything else. You want to look like you played college lacrosse and now play tennis and swim, not like you’re a powerlifter or bodybuilder.

Don't listen to him, I went back last year at 24 and am about to start my second year already! Made a ton of great friends, although my personal attempts at dating have been unsuccessful. I'm tall, but my DEXA this spring put me at over 30% body fat, even though I look more like 20's range. I bet being relatively lean and with some muscle defintmition will be gamechanger for you, that's been my focus as of late. Also working on style and more regular grooming. Good luck on your education bro, WAGMI!

Excellent post. If only I was a lax bro growing up
>>
>>77456078
Had a jacked buddy who started at 23 that I met first semester, so he felt late, but the age really doesn’t make a difference. I started at 25 myself and no one even knew unless I mentioned it, they all just assume you’re their age if you’re in their grade (assuming you’re not haggard). As for fitness, he was the biggest guy in the gym so given that we did comp sci together he mogged every classroom, but the most impactful thing with that is people just naturally liked and gravitated toward him despite not being good with words, not generous or particularly helpful, C student, etc. Just the classic “people like good looking people” thing.

Do you think there’s another path to successful for you outside of college or have you already done that analysis and concluded there’s not? My brother went back to college at 27 and he says he doesn’t regret it but he wishes he considered more if there were alternative routes to successful without college.

The overall most successful competition climber, Jakob Schubert, is 5'9". It's arguably the best height for climbing, especially if you got a good ape index too.

>>77456375
The sad reality of going back to college is that while it is possible to find a gf they’re not all that interested in an older guy going back. They want to party with athletes and frat bros, and if they are into older guys it’s older guys with high status high income jobs. At the end of the day, you’re there to earn a degree and get employed, not to make friends or get a girlfriend.

Yeah it seems fucking grim. All my old friends from high-school already graduated, are building their career and have a relationship. It's also noticable that they don't give a shit about me. I really felt it that I got faded out of every social circle because while they started working in residency, law firms, engineering firms, I still worked at a grocery store. My female friends started too look at me like an old sick dog, disgusting, put him down.

I guess I have to walk the rest of my path alone too. Once you miss the bus, there is isn't one coming later for the late-bloomers. Fuck I am so lonely. But I will keep moving forward no matter what.
>>
>>77456409
for your average normie, there is not. you can of course go into the trades and shit but I rather work in an office making 150+k a year. go to the gym at lunch or after work and retire with a 2m+ retirement account. if you're really good, you can actually work hard and make 400 or 500k a year as a VP.

plus when you work with blue collar guys, half of them will be drug addicts and just generally very low quality people.
>>
>>77456442
My father didn't get his shit together until his 40s. He's retiring as world famous in his field, full paid international trips for speaking engagements, multimillion dollar company, etc.

It's never too late.

What do you think friends are? Why should connections persist? At core it’s a biological predisposition to group over shared interests to increase your success rate. When you separate from the group in your daily toils, you can still keep up with close friends over long term shared goals, but if you’re on a completely different life path, especially one that they would understandably view as lower or less far along the path, there’s little to keep up on. I’ve sat at plenty of house parties with college peers, after-closing smoke sessions with the graveyard coworkers, bar crawls and e-scooter rides and star gazing and what have you with all sorts of people and I’m only just now hitting 30. All of them I knew because of a time and place, and once it’s gone they go too, and the first couple times it makes you feel a certain way but eventually you just accept it for what it is and hope the next set of people live up to the expectations set before. Only exception to this rule I’ve had was my high school group kept in touch, but we only manage that because we play video games together and hold each other back from getting girlfriends/lives. Hell even that’s fractured as my last gf left me and got with one of them so he and she are out of my life. Doesn’t matter what kind of time and respect you put into people, if your interests differ enough they’ll go with their own.

The absolute natty key is tailored clothes. I have a dozen tips but you all are too stupid to follow them. I'll give you one hint anyone and you'll still ignore it because, as I say, you are stupid: tailor your t-shirts form fitting across the shoulders, chest and waist. Form-fitting doesn't mean tight, you fucking retard. Skims the body doesn't mean clingy. T-shirt stops one inch below the top of your pants. And here's the absolute key to avoid looking try-hard: the short-sleeves also skim your arms, but are long enough to stop right above the elbow. That's right, when your arms are hanging normally your arms are covered. "b-b-b-but Timmy, I mean Stacey won't see muh gains!" Yeah, he, I mean SHE will when you move naturally and the sleeves ride up a bit. That's the difference between looking try-hard and casual.

I've done both. Trades are way better for your sanity since you don't work with passive aggressive faggots and women. I wouldn't go back to it but you do have to disassociate and figure out how to get your catharsis if you go for an office job. You are right about working with the dregs of society though. Not just coworkers but customers. You occasionally see shit that makes you lose all faith in humanity.
>>
>>77456443
I don’t know why people think this though. 97% or more of white collar jobs are dead ends, worse than the trades. I really don’t think you appreciate how uncommon $150k per year office jobs are and how few college grads are realistically making that within two decades. The only ways to actually make real money today are entrepreneurship and eceleb shit. Why do you need degrees for those?

You young guys really need to understand that you are not making VP. Okay? The hiring/promotion policy at every employer that actually pays is some sort of DEI. If you get hired, which is frankly less and less likely, your boss will be a woman or a black man, and you will never be promoted. It’s really important for you guys to understand this to save yourselves the years of frustration. This corporate career is not in the cards for you. You have to find your own way on your own, or accept just getting in and standing still.

>>77457686
>What job do you have where a JD at 40 is not only warranted but increases your salary even after an MBA?

I negotiate the contracts for a civil engineering firm (and then counsel gives their stamp of approval), and manage the federal compliance matters for the firm. My company is paying for half of my JD (GI bill is paying for the other half) so that I can take on a full inside counsel role and be the legal guy for the federal contracting side of the business while current counsel handles the commercial side.

The MBA was a bit random, I just had my GI Bill burning a hole in my pocket and didn't know what else to use it on. It did help me get my current job.

I'm also not really mid-career. I got my first job at 28 (enlisted in the air force) after being a NEET for a long time.

>The sad reality of going back to college is that while it is possible to find a gf they’re not all that interested in an older guy going back. They want to party with athletes and frat bros

I guess that depends on where you draw the line at "older guy". I will admit, it was shocking to realize now that there's already a 6-7 year age gap between me and a girl fresh out of HS, so when I was crushing on one I think my friends were judging me a little. It's still a weird feeling to me, 18 doesn't feel very long ago, but I'm definitely seeing the maturity differences more and more...

I think if you're relatively lean and work out you can look "athletic" even if you don't play sports, and if you're eating and sleeping right alongside you should still look to be in your prime in your 20's. I mentioned before being obese currently sadly, my goal is to get to 15% body fat and almost a full year of training/maximized noobie gains in by April (end of year 2).
That and dressing better. I think I can achieve it with a 750 calorie deficit + daily tracking and clean eating, 4 days a week training + 10,000 steps a day, and proper recovery.

Sorry to digress, but my point is that if you take care of yourself and look the part it should be much easier to meet someone. University is filled with girls of all age ranges too, some old enough to be my mother.
I do agree though, a lot of girls might not want an age gap so big if they're looking for something serious, and the real and ultimate mission is getting a diploma/degree/masters etc. at the end of the day. Nobody said we can't have fun while doing it, though.
>>
>>77457988
Dude c’mon. Get real. Of course there are exceptions to the rule but in general, college girls will be interested in either college boys or older men with means. An older guy in college doesn’t slot into either group nicely. Why would she want to fuck some broke old guy with no social clout, no access to parties, less fun when she could get with a broke athlete or frat bro and have a blast or an older guy with money and have a blast? Like /fit/tards can’t seem to appreciate that money and status overrule aesthetics which btw are also almost certainly lesser than what’s available to them. Most of these girls don’t even want to be in a relationship anyway. If you’re older, yeah, look as good as you can but your real competitive advantage in dating is having money and means for women looking to lock down a husband. OP is playing for being a hot commodity at 35, not 28.
>>
>>77458150
Stop being realistic, it’s a heckin’ black pill psyop-erino!

It’s less a black pill and more a maroon pill. I’m not saying he can’t find a cute college gf. I’m just saying it’s not a realistic expectation based on sheer probabilities. That girl exists but she isn’t typical.

You are a modern eurofag that works. Working is not noble at all. Ideally you should not work at all. And noble knights you look up to got soft and became rule obsessed burucrat nerds.

Viking raiders , mercenaries, dark ages warriors and medieval noble knight warlords never went to college yet they pillaged and raped europe hottest girls
The rules they make for modern 2026 society is for retards dumb enough to fall for it lol

Funny though... I sent
>The thing that will mess you up even as a natty is wearing that borderline sexcore stuff to "show off gains"
>Walk quietly and carry a big stick
to my Dutch buddy and he literally replied:
>Idk, maybe something about self defense? Or was he being naughty?
Then I showed it to a cousin that lived in Switzerland for the past 2 decades (ok sure he was born in Brazil, but he isn't even an oficial Brazilian citizen anymore, final departure and all that):
>Sounds gay haha

Maybe the problem is that you ameritards think everyone should speak ameritard and instantly get the reference born out of some war speech from some random former ameritard president (Roosevelt)?
Can you even point on a map all the other native English-speaking countries in the world?

Idk if you heard dude but we had a few revolutions that disinherited the aristocracy. The descendent of Oda Nobunaga works as a clerk. Everyone works now. Besides, his point was about college not working.

Obviously it’s not a good look to be a fat pig but the only men who will give a shit if you’re really fit are men who aren’t worth knowing. The only place guys like that have a big career is in low brow manosphere content. No law partner will ever give a shit if you’re shredded.

bruh i'm 179 35m in NYC area and i still get looks from pretty woman im just picky and/or pussy (more pussy)

i prefer skinny girls, which are usually the harder ones to get. If i didn't mind more curve (which doesn't always mean fat, i know), i'd be killing it fr

None of your corporate titles and net worths matter when your head is chopped off
>>
>>77456078
Im going to tell it to you straight. You're going to be competing with younger guys who already do sports there. Very few guys can look young and fit at the same time coming back to college. Im one of the rare people (black) who can go back to college and still look in my 20s. People mistake me for being on an athlete. If you dont look like that or a professor, it's hard times for you. You just become the old guy on campus.
>>
>>77458259
>Viking raiders , mercenaries, dark ages warriors and medieval noble knight warlords
lol if you lived back then you'd either be killed by one of the above of imprisoned in some rich guy's faggot dungeon.
You losers cant even look a girl in the eye and say hello but think if you lived 1000 years ago you'd be a viking warlord and that other men would take orders from you.
>>

> Everyone works now
That’s pure cope. The actually upper class don’t work and the rich rich that do work like top 500 and even top ceos have 50+ million salaries. Saying “ Everyone works now” is peak cope. American average salary is $65k and median household income is $80k.
>>
>>77458767
This. lol. All the low value men today think if it was a different system, they would be at the top and not exactly where they belong, same as right now, at the bottom.

yes being jacked helps.

corporations promote to leadership based on looks first and competancy second. be tall, good looking and head of hair. of course this applies if you're a white male. if you are asian or indian you cna be a bit shorter and if you're a woman, i dont know what the requirements are.

also corporations are full of faggots at high level.s and if there's an exec that wants to fuck you, then you can be promoted, you'll have to at least do soft flirts and pretend to be his friend, but ive seen his a million times.

Being lean helps a lot. You look better in clothing. You're able to participate in white collar recreation like pickleball, kayaking, trailrunning, etc
And just naturally people will respect you more.

Your back will thank you as well since the excess amount of sitting is less likely to cause problems if you remain limber and are smashing excessive weight on your spine and glutes

Exactly. Haters are lying. This is me age 32 and I was getting more respect than the company CEO.

It helps general quality of life, especially as you get older

I'm fit as a fiddle in my mid 40s, I constantly listen to unfit 20 something's at work bitching about back pain, knee pain, low energy, carpal tunnel (which building strong tendons makes you immune to). Sedentary lifestyle really destroys your health and wrecks your body, being fit will give you a better life in general bro

You might not care about that shit yet when you're a youngnigger at 27 but trust me bro wait till you get past mid 30s and your peers the same age as you are basically crippled, you'll see the benefits of aging well first hand
>>
>>77456258

I was an investment banker for 4 years and have known these people personally. They work all the time. This world is run by the bourgeois now. All they do is “work”. This leisurely aristocrat you have in mind is a relic of the past.

idk bro. I worked with a guy who jacked as fuck and I always thought he was based for being jacked. He would sit at his desk and do the grip strength things lol. But he was also just genuinely a cool guy. If he was a jacked douche im sure I would have hated him.

My work is mostly autistic-ass analysis of early-stage biotech pipelines, catalyzed by big stacks of highly unusual stimulant supplements. Spreadsheet bros get cucked when their cashflow analysis can't account for intellectual property, and their hedge fund goes tits up from leveraged shorting the wrong snek oil developer through excellent clinical trial results.
>>
>>77459784
Are you a partner at a law firm or a managing director at an investment bank or something to that effect? No? They’re not a professional peer really worth knowing. My point stands. Men in general will only care about you at work if you’re a professional worth knowing. Who cares if some /fit/ autist mires you? It sounds like you guys weren’t even friends.

Do any of the anons here have some experience with quality management in the automotive industry?
Is it a good career path? I live in europe so I'm kinda worried that our automotive industry is gonna go to shit in the next few years.
I've been an intern in an automotive corporation for 3 years and they wanna hire me after I get my master's. My colleagues have fairly decent pay but they're stressed out of their minds most of the time.
>>
>>77458528
Yeah I don't have buddies in Australia or England, unfortunately. But everyone in the Netherlands speak english from childhood, so do Dutch really count as ESL?

Btw I'd love the input from Aussies and Brits on this one.

Been with Continental (Teves) in Germany for many years, was in PM, then moved to QM somewhat recently. Definitely a very tough spot to be in. I'm leaving next year, even though they finally offered me a management position. I think for you it's still a good opportunity. Consider it a stepping stone, even with Europe's current automotive volatility.
>>
>>77461082
Aren't they supposed to be clipped on or something?
>>
depends on whether or not you can fill in that shirt
>>
>>77461498
Oh ok, thanks for the advice.
The firm I'm currently working at has very limited career growth. It offers an approximately 6% raise every year though, so my colleagues who have been working here for more than 7 years have a wage in the upper 15%, which is fairly good for Czechia.
The cons are that people here do tons of unpaid overtime, our boss is a shithead, and it's really stressful. Some of my colleagues complain that they have work related nightmares.
My initial plan was to try to get a job at Škoda, but from what I've heard they're laying people off right now and it's almost impossible to get a job there if you don't have a degree from their college.
>>
>>77456078
In my experience, HR recruiters are usually women, often younger women. If they start flirting with you, you are basically guaranteed a job.
>>
>>77459769
Bruh I have known boomers who own 3 properties because they bought them when properties were $50,000 in the 80s and now are worth $800,000. They just coast off of rent and get everything for free with minimal work. And they aren't even these mega rich elites, just normal people with a couple of lucky investment.
>>
>>77463489
Happened to my ex's cousin. Young handsome guy, office full of middle aged women. He got the job easily, got promotions and raises fairly quickly.
Similar thing happened to my friend. Again, office full of middle aged women, he got a pretty big raise in the first year. His female boss fucking loves him. She even told him that she'll ensure that he'll get her position after she retires in a few years.
Being handsome really is a cheat code in life.
>>
>>77463493
> they aren't even these mega rich elite
Correct. They’re irrelevant.
