depends why you're replacing them in the first place
but my initial response would be RDLs + rack pulls
>>
>>77472295
Low back pain/sciatica
RDLs fuck me up even worse
>>
>>77472300
OK then back extensions
>>
>>77472293
Just do lower weight with perfect form and don't try to chase numbers. The deadlift is an exercise where you can move quite a bit more weight with sloppy form that will fuck up your back. Make sure you are are bracing your core by pulling your abs and obliques down toward your pelvis and engaging your glutes when you pull to get a good hinge. You shouldn't have any back pain when you do it right. Just sore glutes the next day.

steal (formerly) anchored things like park benches, hand rails, old cannons, etc
>>
>>77472293
you don't
lower the weight
deadlift doesn't need to be heavy for benefits, stop falling for powerlard fud
>>

>>77472330
The empty bar alone gives me pain while I can squat 4pl8 pain free
>>
>>77472293
Barbell back extensions, with the barbell on the floor where it belongs. Wider grip means more rom.
>>
>>77472293
Weighted back extentions
>>
Discretely incorporate alternative exercises until the host gym stops doing deadlifts completely.
>>
>>77472295
but that wasn't your initial response
>>
>>77472599
ho ho!
>>
>>77472293
I can't fucking take it I have to do a fucking single leg thing or bend back more the movement is limited by the practical applications of trying to create weight lifting apparati and it not being able to encapsulate every major movement pattern without doing some shit that looks way too stupid to do in a gym.
>>
>>77472293
Single leg jumping probably and putting more weight on the middle end
>>
>>77472381
you should be figuring out how to fix this injury and not just ignoring it. it hurts on deadlifts now but it will hurt on other exercises later if you do nothing.
>>
>>77472799
I've been doing rehab for 6 fucking years. It aint going away
>>
>>77472807
ok fair enough
>>
If I deadlift even slightly out of position in any way I pull a muscle exactly where my lower back meets the glute and the very outer side. I have to be literally perfect. And in daily life I have to be careful of moving in any unconventional ways as the same thing will happen. It doesn't even feel like I'm pulling a muscle, it's more of the pain of the nerve. When it calms down and loosens up the muscle doesn't even really hurt.
And no it's not a weak back, because I'm good at the deadlift. Something isn't right. I injured myself decades ago and since then something is sensitive. I've tried and and all that crap

Trap bar deadlift

nice back injury you got there dumbass
>>
>>77472968
So what do you do instead?
>>
>>77472295
Those are pretty good replacements and possibly doing the rdl/stiff-legs from deficit like a higher platform for more stretch. Those cover the back chain and traps, then also some forearm movements for a third movement in case someone was thinking "when I deadlift 1000lbs my forearms have no choice but to grow".
>>
>>77473118
Nta but you can have your lower back fully rounded in any movement if you start with little to no weight and build up from there. Check people lifting atlas stones. Not sure if dad lifts actually helps op if they already said they literally can't do shit even with just a barbell or no weight.

Glute ham raise + reverse hypers.
