Beginner here. How much can you squat? I'm sure I can probably do 190, but reliably I can do 2 reps of 180 lbs.

I’ve been lifting almost 7 months and can only squat/RDL around 185lbs for reps. My bench 1RM is 180lbs

If I was starting, then I would assume three quarters of my bodyweight for between 5-8 reps

Wtf are you doing man... Just do 3 sets of 5 adding 5 lbs every week until 3pl8

That's really good for being 7 months in, imo. Nice job, anon!

I personally like some variety, and it feels good for me. Not saying I'm correct or anything, but it works well for me. I definitely go up in weights almost every week when I do my 8/5/2's. As for my high reps, it hits the shit out of my CNS but I enjoy them a lot. I'm going to space them out a bit more, maybe quarterly per year instead of every 2 months though. Very tiring.
