What exercises would you do to prepare and protect your lower back, for heavy snow and needing to shovel a long ass driveway?

It's summer

2x "bend over to investigate local flora" per minute
Hike for 120+ minutes

I live in a civilized country so I just walk

Summer is coming to an end and snow starts early in the northern lands. We could be dealing with snow in a month to a month and a half.

I am an avid /out/ person and have no issues bending over but an hour+ shoveling snow will fuck my back up

You probably make the equivalent of 40k a year dawg shut up

start carrying more weight on your neck; a dangling camera from your neck and set of magnifying lenses on your head and vest of equipment on your shoulders weighs a lot more when you bend over.

RDL and loaded carries
Club or hammer swings

An asphalt driveway? With a flat smooth surface? That has a slight downhill grade? For god's sake don't use a snow shovel for that shit, use a sturdy thick bristle wide push broom. It needs a solid wooden handle, the metal tubes will eventually crumple on you. It's really fucking easy to push the snow as long as you get to it within 12 hours. Even if it hardens a bit or there was some icy rain at the same time, all you need is an ice scraper like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0031575YU to dislodge and break it up, then push the pieces with the broom. Still way easier than shoveling.
Fuck snow shovels, I bet your lower back hates you. And to answer your gay question - back extensions.

Oh and I actually use 2 push brooms, the other is for my car since I don't have a garage. Keep them separated so shit from the ground doesn't get trapped in the bristles that you then scrape along your car. Much easier than a small car brush. I never notice any damage from it, although my car is long past its prime and getting into beater territory.

Russian twists/oblique exercises

No downhill grade in driveway it's all level except for the curb cut. Very space limited as well. Part asphalt part gravel (retarded). I don't see a push broom working for more than an inch or two of snow anon.

Kettlebell
