Imagine you work mostly from home and have a gym in your room, relying on things that are quick to set up (weighted calisthenics, machines, resistance bands, or whatever). Would you do structured workouts a few times a week, or just do whatever exercises you fancy throughout the day, every day, while trying to maintain some loose balance between the muscle groups you work?

I would do Upper, Lower
Or Push, Pull, Legs
Like I already do

I work from home and my desk is in my home gym. I do my entire workout during lunch break. Don’t try to spread it over the day. Doesn’t make sense since you don’t have a bunch of isolation exercises and can’t do stuff like “front delt morning, side delt midday, pec afternoon”. Just do PPL and quit overthinking everything.

The multiple workouts a day is a NEET self-report because you have to factor in getting sweaty multiple times a day, unless you train like an absolute loser I guess.

The "I do whatever" bullshit is just roiders bragging about themselves. I can't think of an example that isn't some manchild like Bugenhagen. Imitate them if you want to never improve.

you get slightly less gains for the same volume if you do things spread throughout the day, but you can actually do higher quality sets and higher volume thanks to the increased rest time you get, so it is a fair trade off. the important thing is that you train to failure. if you prefer to spread it throughout the day it is by no means a bad approach, as long as you reach failure.

Bottom is also a form of egolifting
You're scared to fail so you play with baby weights vs you're scared people think you're a pussy so you overshoot

I would do structured workouts and fuck around with a basketball or golf club or tennis ball or stationary bike or whatever while I work.
