It took me months of rehab exercises to heal that area in red. Biggest pain in the ass strain of my life. I'm still hesitant to pull heavy.

it's when traps/rhomboids tug on scapula but humerus is not moving it happnes - lat is attached to lower angle of scapula
ideally you want muscles to work in concert with only emphasis on certain function
this is awesome example of compound movement of that sort

>>>bent over, arms close to torso, shoulder that's closer to cable/rubber goes down, and rubber is preferable cause it will snag on arm done like that
>>very important: bent over, arms close to torso, drop inside shoulder down, don't do anything below belt level, stay planted, or do it on one knee - even better

I stopped all pulling for a couple of months. I did face pulls and several sets of internal and external rotation on the cables with every gym session. You know where you pin your upper arm to your torso and use your rotator cuff muscles to move the weight.

I honestly think I wasn't doing enough pushing exercises to lead to my injury. I'm prone to shoulder impingement so I go light on bench weight and volume. I think concentrating on internal rotation rehab really got my shit together.

idk. I can push and pull absurdly heavy and I don't get injuries so I assume I'm doing it right

This shit is brutal. Week 2-4 I was on hydromorphone. Week 4-6 on constant dose of tylenol and naproxen. Week 6-8 I can now use my arm for everyday tasks and I can do light jogging without too much pain from the impact force.
