and meat is too expensive to get all the time every single day in large amounts

>inb4: whey was always expensive

It was not, it used to be the cheapest form of protein, I was able to buy 5 kilograms (10lbs) for like $90 back in 2016, i have receipts.

Now that same 5kg (10lbs) is closer to $500

$90 to $500 in just 10 years.

I literally cannot afford it anymore without it fucking with my budget.

WHY HAS IT GONE UP SO FUCKING MUCH????????????????????????????????????????????????????

My rent has gone from $1800 to $2400 in that same time frame.

>inb4: why are you still renting

In my country unless you have rich parents, nobody below the age of 40 buys a home, because they're set to like 15X the median household income.
>>
>>77480827
phew, thankfully we still have real food to eat.
>>
>>77480827
in 10 years you didn't manage to increase your income to track along with the price increase?
>>
>>77480834
You clearly did not read what i said.

Whey protein used to be the CHEAPEST form of protein per serve here.

It was way cheaper than buying a bunch of meat every single day.

Now I am forced to buy meat every single day to hit my protein goals, which is still very expensive.

The point is whey protein used to save me a lot of time and money not having to buy as much meat, but now its just as expensive as meat per serve, if not more.
>>
Oh boy, this thread again. I don't know if they're still up because I just got on the board, but there were literally like three of these threads in the catalog at the same time yesterday.

$90 (2016) to $500 (2026) is a 455.56% increase.

How high has the median income increased since 2016? like 50%?
>>
>>77480844
eat real food and forget about the arbitrary protein number
>>
Boomer tiktok is shilling protein powder heavily lately, so millions of boomers are buying out all the whey causing the price to skyrocket

The old boomer normies figured out they actually need a lot of protein if they dont want to end up with broken hips n falls like their parents had who cheaped out on food and didnt eat enough protein
>>
Just don't be poor. It's super easy
>>
>>77480989
im not spending 500 bux for 10lbs of whey when i used to buy 10lbs of whey for 100 bux
>>
If you have trouble affording real food (meat and eggs), fitness shouldn't be one of your main priorities.
>>
>>77480827
you need to qualify for food stamps. Even niggers can figure this out. Go to Costco, but $100 of whey and a chicken. Have to pay for the chicken yourself because it's ready to eat/hot food. Ha ha. Buy my whey cube rats, I don't have time for your corporate bullshit, I have lifting to do and spandex asses to check out. Very busy.
>>

what the fuck are you even talking about faggot?

HEALTH > MONEY

Imagine being such a good goy that you push people ruining their health and aesthetics and not bothering to deal with it until they are financially secure enough, thats just retarded

Inflation and cost of living is just getting worse, so according to your logic, everyone should be fat, disgusting and unhealthy unless they have rich boomer parents to pay for their lifestyles
>>
A pound of chicken breast is $2.50 at the expensive grocery stores and less elsewhere and gives you 100g protein. Stop drinking your protein and learn how to cook.
>>
>>77481001
At least Google the price before you make retarded posts. 10lb of ON is $200. And don't bother telling me how you only use random obscure whatever

>>77481045
Or just don't be poor
>>
>>77481001
Sure is a good thing that's literally not a price. Anybody is paying for that.

The protein will largely have no effect on their hip fracture rates unless they also way up their exercise, which they're doing right?
>>
Find your closest local cheese maker, break in at night, steal a couple barrels of whey, dry it yourself
>>
>>77481713

>>
>>77481723
You don't have any large or small businesses making cheese near you? I have a couple, I suppose if the situation gets dire I can steal their cheese / whey / a cow
>>
>>77481733
Its regional I guess
>>
Swallow your pride and taste buds, eat TVP
>>
>>77480827
A gallon of milk is $4 and 128g of protein.
>>
>>77481782
I did but I had diarrhea daily. Waaaay to much fiber in 150g worth of protein

I have not bought whey in over a decade and I've bought in excess of a thousand supplements over that time. There are too many substitute proteinaceous goods for goycow titty powder to deliver consumer value under current market conditions.
>>
>>77480827
All you need is potatoes, rice, yogurt and some meat.
>>
>>77480827
Chicken thighs are dirt cheap. Boneless skinless isn't that expensive but if you're that poor go for bone in and skin on. It's like $3 a pack
>>
>>77480827
What size apartment are you renting for that price? Can you live with your parents, or get room mates instead?
In any case, fuck whey, it's literally an industrial waste product they've managed to capitalize on due to tarded gym bros and the like lol. Just eat real food.
>>
>>77480827
I buy chicken quarters for 1.69/lb. This is a bone in skin on thigh and leg. How can you not afford something so simple?
