That's a bs demostration as the guy clearly has body proportions for a high bar and not for a low bar.

The other keeps it a squat

Low bar of course./thread

But the real answer is "you train for the adaptation you want". If you're training for strength, low bar. If you're training for the Olympic lifts, high bar.

>implying you cant do both on different days

If you train for ass and hamstring hypertrophy, low bar.
If you train for quadriceps hypertrophy, high bar.

My upper back is fucked and I'll probably never squat again.
Take a moment to appreciate what you have, bros.

Not sure, I don't really think about it

High bar is the natural movement for supporting weight. I don't see how it's possible for anyone to spontaneously attempt placing the bar that far down the back then compensating with such a forward lean, that shit ain't right. That position is comfortable for resting in a bodyweight squat, but not with weight applied.

Drpends on your body proportion and hip mobility (and no, it's not just a skill issue since east slavs and asians have a different hip joint structure comparing to other races). For someone with a a long femur it's impossoble to do a high bar without a wedge or shoes with heels. Other can do all variations with no issues. Just understand how it works as per this video and see for youself what version is better for you.

...you've never heard of a Zercher squat, huh?
>>
>>77482827
SO which bar am i?
>moderate/possibly long femur + average-to-long tibia + average-to-long torso + excellent dorsiflexion

Just try it and see in which position you can keep the bar above the middle of your foot. How deep you can squat in each position, experiment with different stand, different bar position.
Because you question is like "I have an oval face, give me the best sunglasses that will make me look good".... depends on your goals, on your joints, hip mobility, etc. Just learn what shape of glasses is for your face and try on different glasees. It's as simple as that.
