Here me out about drops sets:>The heaviest I can lift for 3-4 reps to push the muscles and get adjusted to heaviest weight>The "normal" set of weight to fully overload my muscles>the lower set to squeeze the last bit of effort from my muscles as I canI just drop it by 5lbs each set and I'm less likely to hurt myself (unless I fuck up the first set somehow). What do you think?
>>77490258always work within a rep range. if you are working in 5-8, your first set you get 6, lower the weight so that you land within 5-8 on the next set, and so on.
>>77490267Does it really matter so much? I just lift until I go to failure each set. If thats the case then it would be 2 medium sets then the last lower set
I get best results with extreme rep ranges and extremely dedicated workouts. But every day something. My strength on OHP and bench increased the most when I aim for a top set of 5 on either. Then, regardless if I hit it/fail, I go for one rep on the minute every minute after that until failure. And increase weight next time if ready. Then I hit a couple backoff sets, close to failure. Then I hit an accessory or machine with extremely light weights for potentially dozens of reps until failure. You can go to the gym every day and do one movement like this (ime). If I was doing bench and OHP on the same day (e.g. PPL), I would do the above with only one of them, depending on my goals. The other lift would be less intense.
>>77490278Doesn’t matter unless you state your ohp and bench weights
>>77490282Likewise
>>774902893.5pl bench for 2 reps. I don’t ohp
>>77490291I lift more than you
>>77490294Nice, post em weights bruh
>>77490306I lift more than you. You are in no position to demand anything. I have shared information that could help make you less weak. You have contributed nothing.
>>77490313I don’t know if you lift more than me if you don’t post them weights bruh
>>77490313Not him but please post them, not as a demand, but as a request because I am curious
>>77490291What is 3.5pl8? Do people use .5 any time its anywhere between 3 and 4 (so could be 320-400) or does it mean exactly 360 or what?
>>77490278>And increase weight next time if ready.next session or next rep?
>>77490258>here me out
>>77490742
>>77490267What if I only do 7 reps?
>>77491062>>77491059Don't do it
>>774902585lbs per dumbbell? If your top set is not intense enough that you need to lower the weight you lose gains. You eventually get down to a weight so low that you can just rest and do a few reps all day basically and is how you know you are at a low to you weight.
