I did strict one arm kb pressesI don't want to say how heavy or how many, because I'm not here to make anyone feel bad. But I did great, I had a great session. You know, I just believe it's so important to do unilateral work. No one really does that anymore, and no one does overhead work either. It's so rare. That's a part of what makes me so great.
>>77510834No it's been over a month
>>77510836Best day to start again is today, anon
>>77510834I used to be able to press my 28kg kettlebell 5 times per arm but now I can only do it once, I should train it more often
>>77510851really? a strict press or a push press?
>>77510895strict, but ngl the last couple of reps were scuffed because I didn't use my legs but I bent a bit backwards, if it makes sense. Basically I'm certain that I wouldn't be able to do the same numbers if I had to do it with both arms with two kettlebells at the same time because it would force me on a straighter posture
>>77510834I'm scared of dropping weight on my head, I feel like I've been lucky for far too long
>>77510914As long as there is no leg drive, that's a fair rep, that little lean back is completely legit and always happens on the later reps. Do you need a program to get back to repping it? I'm really good at intuitive programming. I do long rests that's my secret. Do you lift this at home? >>77510923kek
>>77510834>I did strict one arm kb pressesOk, so the workout was just one exercise?
>>77510834did curls with a barbell today, 20kg, and some shoulder raises with a 4kg sledgehammer along some other non-lifting related activities.
>>77510968Yeah I've basically been only doing kb one are presses since last November. I'm isolated and blacklisted and targeted, facing overly determined, permanent, adversarial circumstances. I started with push presses with this one kb I have, and then this June I suddenly gained the ability to strict press it, and I've been doing that since. "Don't let what you can't do, stop you from doing what you can" - John Wooden
>>77510957if you have some advice I'm all ears because I've been training randomly like a retard (at home) and an actual program would make my progress much faster for certain. I also have a lighter 20kg kettlebell and a couple of 10kg dumbbells
I love KB OHP I can strict press my 72lb bell like 5 times with strict form.Watch out for golfers elbow (do ricebucket/rubber band on fingertips extensor stuff)And shoulder issues (facepulls, wamup with lighter bottoms up press, KB halos, band internal and external rotation)Trying to build to trying to build to strict repping my 90lb
>>77511055>strict repping my 90lbzamn, now that would be impressive
>>77511043pic attached is the last 2 sessions of my recent 2 week sprint block, where I did 6 sessions total. And what I did was, first week, I did 4 reps every 15 minutes for 2 hours, then 5 reps every 15 minutes two hours, and on the final session 6 reps every 15 minutes for 2 hours. The second week, I dropped it down to 10 minutes between sets, and started at 4 again so that by the endof the second week, I was doing 6 reps every 10 minutes for 2 hours. So now, if you can do it only once clean, you could start with like, 1 ever 15 minutes for two hours, next session 1 every 15 minutes, but try to get two at any one of those sets, by the third session, try to get like, idk, one full hour or 4 total 2 rep sets somewehre in those two horus. Maybe 1 rep, then in 15 minutes, 2 reps, then in 15 minutes 1 rep, thne 2, and alternate. And then in your next 3 sessions, do 2 reps every 15 minutes for 2 hours, and then, maybe after that, drop it to 2 reps every 10 minutes, and start tryin to add a third along the way.Chip away at it. >>77511055Yeah that's really good, a 72lb is I think a 32kg kettlebell, which is some sort of standard for an adult male>>77511043A lot of my work though, from last november to this year, was actually full day sessions with like 60 minute rests between and just putting up massive, massive volume over the entire day. I think, if you could sum up my training philosophy in one sentence, it would be; "Long rests, and always be progressing in one variable; time between sets, number of reps, number of total sets, weight lifted,, and so on"
>>77511098Oops I gave my weight away there, the 28. Didn't really mean to do that. I think, it's clear I can put up 32kg for at least one rep though so I'm not ashamed.
>>77511098wow tyvm, I'll definitely try this!I knew about long rests in strength training but I've never tried going up to 15 minutes or longer, at 60 it's basically that grease the groove method that I've seldom seen mentioned on /fit/, right?
>>77511098>>77511070I'm all unbalanced though, i love pullups and kb stuff but haven't done standard bench press in over a decade.im going to start doing more heavy KB snatches too
>>77511152Yeah. It's essentially just, I guess, formalized GtG with strict control of the variables. I just, I don't know, it just feels like an intuitive way to train to me I dont know if it's a mix of all my life long reading and experience that makes me take it for granted orBut while i'm not accomplished in lifting, I think it's safe to say this is a legit protocol that people can go far with
>>77511195I wanna try snatches, I haven't tried it with this bell, I'm a little afraid, I'll let you know next week what happens it might be time to try I wish that I didn't live in poverty and unemployed for almost 4 years now so that I could have more kettlebells to progress
>>77511198But you know, small people wanna play small games I guess. That's what tiny people and tiny countries do. Facts of life
>>77511198there fucking scary at first but after you get the form down their not so bad, they work a ton of muscles but hit glutes and hamstrings a lot more than shoulders
>>77510834Just got done. I was too busy to get to the gym today, so I did an at home workout with my adjustable dumbbells. Remember fellas, even if you only got 20 minutes, 20 minutes is better than nothing. WAGMI
>>77510834
>>77510834Sure. High rep kb swing, snatch, clean, and squat are where men(and women) are made.
>>77514049Same poster. Dbl kb seasaw press is a staple in my programs (seated, lunge, one leg)
chillin today but tomorrow is a kb clean and press day (i alternate between kb c&p + zercher squat and dips+chins+RDL then do my normal bodybuilding and ab stuff). 6x6 with the 24kg's went up easily enough last time but my press feels stronger than my clean so i'm splitting them up. On friday I think I'm gonna do some gunslingers instead of cleans and go for a bit more volume. kb press wise I did the abf "press day" 100 reps total in just under 30 mins. and 2x20 for 17 reps.
>>77510834Why is she doing this in her front yard, and not her back yard? I don't understand
>>77510834yeah today was chest/back day
