Even glass jars have plastic-lined lids, and metal containers have plastic coatings inside. But the point is to reduce, not be delulu or blow all your money trying to totally eliminate it. Anything that you want to keep around you can expect to abrade and scrape, and you don't want the worst of it in your food.Plus non-plastic things just tend to last longer, and - in some cases - may be a better experience overall. This is not to say that plastics (and aluminum, and lead) don't have their uses outside of cooking.
