I posted about an arduous camping trip to backwoods Alaska a few weeks ago: https://desuarchive.org/fit/thread/77461093/ in the end it was surprisingly easy, I carried 50 pounds over 50 miles cross-country and my weedy frame somehow took it all. Uncle got beaver fever and that slowed him down so in the end I was the one pushing him on. Yes I went in jeans and cotton. 2 pairs wool socks at all times with oversized rain boots, zero blisters. My unironic conclusion is any fitness venture is viable at any physical state as long as you take speed
>>77511454>2 pairs wool socks at all times with oversized rain bootselaborate on this? heel blisters are a huge weakness of mine
>>77511462>heel blisters are a huge weakness of minereally? giant tits are my huge weakness
>>77511464seriously? i walk just fine with my double D in a medium support sports bra, blisters are a way bigger problem honestly
>>77511454Yo I remember I can't believe I caught the second thread
>>77511454>>77511487You're going to have to post feet (nohomo) because I went on a gay little 10k hike in the Brecon Beacons last weekend in my fancy Salomon boots and now my foot looks like this
>>77511454>as long as you take speedexplain
>>77511500If your feet look like that on a 10k hike, you have some fucking work to do. That is soft-skinned bullshit.
>>77511454gz anon, glad you made it
>>77511454I member you anon. I was the one questioning your fit. Glad u made it back with all your fingers + toes. Did you have fun & would you do another hike?
>>77511454> My unironic conclusion is any fitness venture is viable at any physical state as long as you take speedIt do be like that
>>77511706Has very little to do with skin and everything to do with how well your shoes fit.
>>77511500Pack some Leukotape next time to cover areas you think will have blister potential. If you already have the blister, use Skin Tac on it then apply the leukotape over it.
>>77511696Lol
thanks yall>>77511462>>77511500I won't post feet because they're not the prettiest but basically you want multiple layers at work so things slide a bit instead of rubbing.>>77511765Yeah it kinda opened me up to it. I didn't exactly have the time of my life but it's the kinda suck that makes me miss it a bit. I'm now wondering how I'd do it differently next time and where else I could go. Also "living rough" (sleeping under a tarp) has me wondering just how necessary it is for me to live between four walls lol
Good.Don't be gay and post some photos from trip.
>>77511454>arduous camping trip to backwoods Alaska> I carried 50 pounds over 50 miles cross-country>arduous>50 lbs>50 milesWas this just a quick and easy over-nighter or something lol
>My unironic conclusion is any fitness venture is viable at any physical state as long as you take speed
>>77512602for a newbie dawg
>>77511454How was the weather? Any challenges? >My unironic conclusion is any fitness venture is viable at any physical stateIt's more mental than physical when it's flat-ish terrain. As long as feet and back/shoulder/legs feels alright and doesn't gives you pain you can always keeping moving forward. Not that you can easily quit anyway.
>>77511454How many days were you out?
>>77512353ask and ye shall receive>>77512602idk man it's quite a trip for a couch potato>>77514588naw, it was pretty pleasant, about 50 F mostly. I hardly got cold except for one instance when my dumb ass went to sleep in my bag in wet jeans and socks on the coldest windiest night. You're spot on about the mental aspect.>>77515864bout 10 days
>>77511464Personally I'm terribly partial to prolapsed anuses and concrete enemas
Irritatingly got very little footage of the hike itself as my cable wore through early in. ik ik
I'll get flamed for this because it's fucking 4chan but I really liked the natives. They were all really friendly and helpful
Anyway to keep shit on topic I highly recommend doing this sort of thing. it's way easier than it seems
