I might be going against the trend here, but I've noticed that despite my nostalgia for old memes and all that, /fit/ has actually gotten smarter since I showed up in '09. >>77512607>>77512653>>77512672>>77512678These are the posts that kicked off this train of thought in me... It's like we have people with serious nutritional and workout knowledge. I seem to remember people didn't used to be quite so adversarial and the board may also have been funnier back then (ISHYGDDT, are you an archeologist etc), but I'm genuinely surprised at the quality of the advice posted on here sometimes, especially these days. Could it be that zoomers' autistic tendency to min-max everything has led to an improvement in the information here? Could it be the influence of Mike Israetel and all the science-based lifters that have cropped up?Anyone else picked up on this?

>>77512691No. It's really just some oldfags coming back sporadically and giving good advice based on their 15-20 years of experience.
>>77512696I've never even watched any of his stuff lol I just heard he was into science so thought it might be relevant
>>77512710Yeah there’s plenty of 40 year olds here. You used to be mocked ruthlessly for being old here but not anymore. I’m 40 btw.
>>77512719Clearly you're an Indian>>77512729Might as well give up with your fitness journey if you're still here after all this time buddy
>>77512790You're missing the point. We are here and giving good advice because we left when we made it and then came back to give back to the youth
