Why was this guys pirate monster avatar violent and aggressive when all the other avatar things were just chilling.
>its because hes mentally ill
Ok but there's a billion mentally ill people all over the earth so why isnt the backrooms filled with them too

Shit movie

The implication is that they exist as a kind of parallel dimension. Mentally ill people who harbor murderous desires are not actually that common on a per square mile basis outside of dense cities.

>people who harbor murderous desires are not actually that common
Really? You've never just imagined killing a nigga who pissed you off just as a way to ease the soul since you can't do it IRL?

It's just the way I'm wired.

Some allegory for memory and how it's imperfect. As he was right next to an entrance the dimension had far more exposure to him, or him in the captain getup in this case, than the others, so his is more life-like.

Maybe when I was like 5 and my brain was undeveloped.
I have this concept called "reciprocity". Murdering someone for some random slight implies that the act is justifiable for anyone who feels they have been slightly, which it obviously isn't.
But that's besides the point. No, the rate of "people with murderous desires but who only lack the power to act on them without consequence" is actually pretty low. Even monkeybrained morons who chimp out and get into fistfights over petty drama stop short of attempting to actually maim each other, much less kill.

A real man harbors a desire to kill

He was right next to the null space and it probably absorbed all of his negative thoughts and emotions. Consider that he probably beat his ex wife and probably killed her off screen, lead his only employee and her boyfriend into the backrooms and was probably eating what was left of her corpse after Pirate Clark got done with it and felt completely fine letting his nuts hang after spending all that time in there only to get the much from Pirate Clark.

All that to say he was a bastard and his own bastard nature destroyed him in the end.
