Finally hit 275lbs strict OHP lets go

>>77513440based, what's your height and weight and age?
>>77513462I'm 23 6 foot even (not e statting) and hovering around 255lbs

>>77513468this line of thinking is why you can only ohp lmao 1 pl8 (if you can even do that)
>>77513450only elbow sleeves are cheating here
>>77513475If 275 is such an achievement, why is 245 bad?
>>77513499275>245
>>77513440That was not strict
>>77513450>strictWell it's not a push press so what do you want me to call it>wraps>sleeves>beltI can still hit 225lbs without them>drugsI'm natty unless you count creatine and tadalafil (cialis)>glassesI'm waiting until laser eye surgery doesn't cause permanent dry eyes, a friend got PRK and his eyes are dry as fuck all the time.
>>77513440Impressive, Very nicehow long have you been working out for
>>77513840Just about 4 years as an adult. I used to lift weights as a kid with my dad but that doesn't really count besides being comfortable in the gym. Unlike all the nervous spics in my gym, who'll act like you're staring at them if you so much as look in their direction even when you're resting and just looking forward. Ginger/blond manlets and spics are the worst for this (ginger manlets are plain evil and blond manlets have a massive inferiority complex)Hit 1pl8 strict press for 5x5 in my first year (ofc I changed to 3x5 when the weight got heavier). I train hard and go to failure a lot, extremely easy to on OHP since you can just re-rack it without any risk. I don't go to failure on every set just my last one.
>>77513605>>strict>Well it's not a push press so what do you want me to call itIt's a press/ohp/standing ohp.For a strict press, unrack the bar on your front delts. Then keep your legs and hips stiff. Only move your neck/head to let the bar through. A strict press is suboptimal though.
>>77513440>>77513943Mirin OP. This is a strict press, ignore the DYEL trolls on here. What is your approach to testing your max? How often do you train OHP and how does that compare to how often you train other pressing variants like flat / incline bench?
>>77514164Do you believe it a strict press just because it isn't a push press? Retard.
A press starts from the front rack, with the bar resting on the clavicles. Possibly after a clean, but not necessarily.
>>77514164It's definitely not a strict press. Here's the whole difference: strict means you don't use leg drive (knee extension) when executing the movement. His knee joints definitely extended to get the bar from the front rack to a little higher in the air so the delts had less work to do. If this were any weightlifting competition where strictness was actually a determining factor in whether the movement counted, this would be three red lights. The black pants go from obscured by the power rack to clearly behind it with an air gap clearly visible because the knee moves backwards when he uses his legs to push the weight up. It's still impressive, just not strict according to any reasonable definition thereof.
Based as fuck OHP imo is the hardest lift to get very strong at, my best single was 245 and I thought my head was going to explode
>>77513468This is bait, but I'm taking itYou're a nigger
