I really want my poop to come out clean and solid but I only ever have two modes. Either liquid diarrhea or clingy toothpaste. How do you get those clumpy solid poops that come out so smoothly you don't need to wipe? It would make my life a lot easier.
>>
>>77513909
You need to correct your microbiota
Lots of fiber (10g or so don’t go beyond 20 in my experience) + beta glucan daily. This will solve your issue. Inulin for fiber from Amazon works well
>>
>>77513921
Thanks fren. I have tried fiber because I heard it helps with this and stops colon cancer. I think I usually have 30 grams per day with chia seeds and a fiber wrap. But even the chia seeds pass right through me, they don't turn into binding poop gel like I've heard they're supposed to. I'll look into that beta glucan and inulin.
>>
>>77513924
Beta glucan will add directly to poop mass. It made me make solid logs. And certain foods make you poop liquid like beer. Make sure you’re getting a quality low processed diet
>>
>>77513925
This stuff might be exactly what I'm looking for. I've never heard of it until now despite trying to look all this up on my own. I just got lost in more generic fiber advice, even took me forever to find out there's soluble and insoluble and the difference between those. I appreciate it.
>>
>>77513909
>when you are lactose intolerant but consume dairy anyways
>>
>>77513924
Fiber does nothing but causes constipation, it has no effect on colon cancer.
>>
>>77513931
I hear a lot of different things sometimes and it gets confusing. I'm just a guy...
>>
>>77513932
Modern studies show that more fiber in your diet = more constipation, it's almost impossible to get constipated on near 0 fiber diets (like carnivore) not that I'm suggesting that.
I was a little hyperbolic, some research shows that soluble fiber reduces the amount of cholesterol that goes from your food into your body, but data on if dietary cholesterol is even a problem is shifting from the old idea that it was. Fiber also slows glucose/sugar release from food ibto the blood, so if you're diabetic/pre diabetic this can be good, but it's most effective if the fiber is bound with the carb, like brown rice is better for this vs white rice and a fiber drink.
As to your liquid shit problem, stop consuming dairy for 2 weeks and see what happens. Lactose intolerance is the normal adult human state, to be able to produce lacraste and break down lactose past the age of 3 or so is an abnormality. If after 2 weeks of no dairy and its still a problem, then look into "probiotic" foods.
>>
>>77513946
There's been a huge social media push lately of randos authoritatively stating lack of fiber is the reason cases of colon cancer is increasing 5000% percent or whatever, sometimes while wearing scrubs because scrubs = medical expert.
>>
Mine was always toothpaste.

I don't eat too much fibre as everyone suggests. But I eat shit of fermented stuff. Sauer kraut, kombucha, milk kefir, natto, fermented chutney.

Saved me. But you have to eat it and not stop as bacteria is transient. If you don't reffed it gets back to default setting.

Adjustment period was about ma month. In that period my skin was very dry, had changes in diarrhea and constipation.

Now I eat everything, but I try to avoid Hugh FODMAP foods they bloat me and avoid gluten. Previously I've tried various diets. But ferments man, there's a lot of work but great
>>
>>77513948
If you can get people to buy literally inedible cellulose, then why not? It has a huge markup and isn't needed, and the science is showing its unneeded, especially to supplement if you eat even like 1 peach a day let alone a balanced diet.
>>
>>77513950
Don't listen to this thirdie ESL
>>
>>77513950
Something about fermented stuff makes it almost impossible for me to even try. Even before tasting it the smell makes me feel really sick.
>>
depends on the food...
desu, ive eaten many proteins and rice, with rice being the main food i eat (im asian)

and i dont even have like a meal plan just rice and meat to get on with my day and some greens
>>
it is normal to need to wipe your ass after you shit. ever thought of that
>>
>>77513909
Oatmeal, berries and an apple, its not that complicated. I like overnight oats in full-fat greek yoghurt with blueberries/lingonberries (picked them myself :3) and chopped walnuts and maybe chia seeds etc.

Also elevate your knees above your hips, we're meant to squat while pooping.
>>
>>77513946
>Lactose intolerance is the normal adult human state
This upsets me but luckily not my stomach.
Are people who can eat dairy the weird ones?
>>
>>77513994
Yeah, it's literally a genetic mutation if you can still produce lactaste past infancy. No other mammals consume milk past infancy.
>>
>>77513909
I start my day drinking a slurry of creatine and psyllium husks. Two teaspoons of that fibrous shit is enough. Goes down with two glasses of water. The shits I have now are amazing. Never have to wipe more than once, sometimes not even that. Cleanest nougat sausages I've ever produced.
>>
if your problem is purely wiping then the solution is bidet
>>
>>77514094
Bidet just spreads bacteria around

>>77513988
>Also elevate your knees above your hips, we're meant to squat while pooping.
yup, jeets have it figured it out centuries ago and you racist incels are laughing at them
>>
You need to spread out your fiber intake, dont just down the whole 10-20g in one meal, instead, take them multiple times like 5g x 4 daily. More water if you get constipation from the extra fiber. If probiotic youre looking for, try akkermansia, you may need to buy the expensive ones though, I tried the cheapest one and it didnt do shit. I also found whole physilium husk works better than fine powder.
>>
>>77514100
It in fact does not

Sticky poo = 2 much fatty food
liquid poo = 2 much radioactive garbage food

Get high fiber bread and eat like 4 slices a day(140cals, 10protein, 10 fiber). The bread I get is picrel, like $2.80 a loaf
>>
>>77513929
So he's tolerating it?
>>
>>77514101
Yeah, I'm only ever 5, 6 or 7. Maybe 4 on some rare miracle occasion. I want consistent 3 poops so bad.
>>
I eat mostly beans, rice, chicken, and dairy.. my poops are pretty nice. Also depends on what time of day I take my dumps. Early in the morning are a bit sloppier. If I let the poop “cook” until around noon it’s a much firmer log with little to no wiping needed.
>>
>>77514264
>If I let the poop “cook” until around noon it’s a much firmer log with little to no wiping needed.
I'd do this but I'd want to avoid pooping at work as much as possible. Ideal goal is consistent pre-work poops and not needing to go at all during a shift. I wish I had WFH.
>>
>>77514271
I used to hate shitting in public restrooms as well. I honestly don’t really care that much anymore but the TP is legit sand paper and burns my asshole. So I usually have a personal stash of TP and just stash some in my pocket if I gotta do the deed. Wet wipes in a plastic bag are really clutch to when bulking.
>>
>>77513909
I took a shit so big yesterday my asshole was bleeding.
>>

>tfw random alternating between 2-2.5 and 3.5-6
>despite going daily, sometimes twice a day, its a huge volume. My plunger has been used at least once a week when its in the 2 range and when its in the 3.5-6 range its like 3+ cups of mushy shit in the toilet
>evacuating such a huge amount of shit from my bowels exhausts me physically for a fucking hour after
>don't eat crap
>plenty of food variety across the food groups, all cooked from scratch
>fermented foods too
>ample water
>even punched my diet into an AI and by all metrics it should be ok
>tried going off dairy for a while, no result on the poops and fucked me up hard mentally

The only thing that seems to mildly work is to take a HCL supplement in the morning with breakfast and an enzyme pill after I eat. But even then its not perfect and not consistent and remembering to within a window of when I've finished eating is a pain in the ass.

Have you gone to the doctor?
>>
Is metamucil good?
>>
>>77514214
If your diet is ok I would advise seeing a doctor, ideally take a tests for faecal calprotectin and faecal occult blood. I dont want to freak you out but loose stools on a 'normal' 'healthy' diet that doesn't resolve itself could mean something quite bad (bowel cancer, ibd etc) or something less bad (ibs, stress, allergy etc). I ignored / underplayed this symptom, tried lots of things but it was ulcerative colitis. I had loose / sloppy /less formed stools for some years before i went into a full blown shitting blood flare up. A few days in a row of doing type 5 and under is speaking to my 'care team' for me nowadays.
>>
>>77513909
I also have messy shits on 360 / 364 days

recently I realized that I have hemorroids
I think that's the reason (the turd comes out sligthly angled)

maybe its the same for you
>>
>>77516142
It contains more sugar per serving than fiber.

>>
>>77513924
Have you tried soaking the chia overnight?
>>
>>77513909
In addition to my usual chicken/broc/potato I added 2 large apples and a large carrot and the resultant poop was as you described.

Solid but not clumpy, zero stickiness, smooth and easy to pass, it took exactly 1 square of TP and 1 wipe to clean up.

So, if you're having poop problems, try eating more apples and/or carrots.
>>
>>77517554
>try eating more apples and/or carrots
ITT: carnivore & ketoretards discover fibre
>>
>>77513979
If you start squatting as the log breeches the sphincter and abruptly stop near the tail of the turd it will shoot out clean.
>>
I've been doing RFL which is just lean protein and green vegetables and my shits have been rock solid. I think low carbs and low fats or at least proportionally to the fiber intake

They had it figured out be not advancing, at all? A fucking frog can squat and shit in the street. Pic related exists, people use them all over Asia, instead of defecating in a traffic lane or on a public beach.
>>
I can't be bothered to read through the thread, so sorry in advance if this was already mentioned, but: keto completely solved pooping for me. Now, I only have to go once a week, it's almost always single wipe and it has the clumpy, solid texture that OP asked about. I save so much time during the week.

btw: I'm not sure if I'm strictly keto as I eat almost 800g of greek yogurt a day and perhaps more fruit than is technically allowed, but I completely avoid rice and pasta and bread and all that stuff.
>>
>>77518070
>keto completely solved pooping
>go once a week
My dear anonbro, for your sake you should look into this further or speak to someone who understands human physiology
>>
>>77513909
eat 1 grain or seed or nut or legume with every meal like a 50g dry raw portion and whatever that makes when it's cooked
have 1 fruit with your meal
eat a lean protein like pork filet 300g or cottage cheese or something with it and then have a salad with olive oil and use fatty fish in it like salmon
>>
>>77514656
Yea, I've always had shit issues though.

>>77516159
This might be related. Over 10 years ago I was told I had some internal ones. Doc never said anything about what it meant though.

>>77517528
Fuck off. The plant parts of my diet are 3.5 servings of fruit and a couple servings of nuts for breakfast, a serving each of beans, rice, and fruit + 2 servings of seeds and a some vegetable amounts as part of lunch, and bread with dinner. I haven't seen people commonly eating keto since corona, what the fuck is wrong with you?
