I FUCKING LOVE DOMS

I wish I could have them all the time, but my muscles get used to my workouts after a while. I switch exercises in and out over time so I can keep getting that delicious lactic acid in my muscles

Ahhhhhh I just love this feeling!!!!

>>
>ywn relive the feeling of doms following your first actual workout

I've been chasing that feeling ever since and it's never been the same
>>
Bump for extra DOMS power
>>
I remember after my first workout, I couldn't fully extend my arms for like 3 days because my biceps were completely shredded

The reason you no longer feel DOMS is because of the Repeated Bout Effect. There actually is a way to guarantee DOMS, you have to train a muscle to absolute failure once every 2 weeks. Absolute failure means 10-20 SETS, starting at 10 reps until reps are down to zero. The surest way to know you have damaged a muscle is a complete inability to use the muscle.
Week 1 MON bench & row TUE Squat
Week 2 MON ohp & curls TUE Deadlift/KB swings
Week 3 repeat Week 1
Week 4 repeat Week 2
All rest days are for eating, sleeping and repairing muscle damage.
>b-but how do I progress?!
By repairing muscle damage
>but I want to do more!
You will run into the Repeated Bout Effect, which will prevent muscle damage. Your muscles grow by repairing damage. Remember, exercise doesn't grow muscle. Food repairing muscle damage is what grows muscle.
>b-but this goes against everything I heard!
Everything you heard is wrong

Based selfharmer. No pain no gain.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those damaged people that glorifies pain and suffering. I'm a comfy NEET who likes to be happy and to see others be happy.

But I love DOMS, the feeling is spectacular! And stretching the muscles with yoga and stuff just makes it better!

I also like giving blood. I laugh every time I give blood, for the whole 10 minutes it takes to drain a pint out of me. I imagine all the blood exiting me and going into someone else, and it makes me laugh! The joy of healing others... It's wonderful! The joy of growing my muscles! Arnold was right - I feel like I'm cumming every day!!

To add on to what this anon said, if you're a powerlifter this is a great way to train off season, but not close to a competition. That's because hitting peak performance requires more frequent training, which brings in the repeated bout effect
>>
doms means growth and i'm tired of pretending otherwise
>>
do a couple high rep sets to failure, failing at 30ish reps and you'll have doms every time and a great pump.

Just take a year off
