Damn, two deleted threads in a row! Something must really be going wrong with 4chan servers or something. So weird. WARNING: there is a mentally ill retard shitting up these threads with his perfectly transparent samefagging (especially falseflagging as OP samefagging).Don't feed him, just hide and report.WARNING 2: these threads have been known to get mysteriously deleted, so if you care about this board and our ability to actually talk about fitness - just make another one using the standard text for the OP and the first post.
Again I'll try to answer the posts from previous threads before they got pruned but honestly this doesn't look too good bros. I have no fucking clue what the fuck is going on here.
From last thread>My minimal training routine every week:A:DeadliftPushsupsPullupsB:SquatSandbag/barbell/log carryNeck curlsC:1 mile runCalf raisesV upsD:StretchingBreathingIn any order with as much rest in between.Worried I don't do enough pushing movements.Honestly unless you need flexibility for some sport I would just drop it. Otherwise you're better off doing a bit of it everyday and making it a habit. Frequency is huge for that. If this is a 4 day cycle you repeat without any rest days then depending on the amount of sets for lifting movements it's actually perfectly fine
And in case the other anon didn't see the response to his thing:I'll try to respond to people who didn't get the answer in the previous threads before they got deleted.>i just have a bench and adjustable dumbbells (24kg max) at home>what else do i need to maximise gains without having commute somwhere?>im thinking of getting heavy sandbagsDepends on your level but generally I'd say ditch the sandbags (unless you can get them for free or something) and do real exercises instead of sandbag memes. Here's the holy trinity for legs:>pistol squat (you can put dumbbells in your backpack at some point to overload this movement)>reverse nordic curl (either use bands to help at first or go down to fixed height as opposed to the floor if the full ROM is too hard)>nordic curl (God-tier exercise proven to reduce injury in athletes)If you also care about strength you can even do static deadlifts - trying to lift some railing from the ground with max force for example. It's obviously not as good as the real thing but it's something. As a general rule dumbbells WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH FOR LEGS beyond the very early beginner super-DYEL phase.
>>77516314Welp my side-lower back issue more or less seems gone so I guess I should go back to muh bent over rows, SLDLs and squats.I'll just follow chatGPT's advice and we'll see how it goes. I was getting really good easy PRs on SLDL and rows so I wanna keep this train going.
>>77516320I looked through the threads in the catalog and this retard isn't only spamming this thread. He literally spams "OP is a trooned wog" in every single thread every single fucking day. Alright, according to GPT, 5 RIR is easy enough for the first session after my QL strain or whatever that was. I'll add 5 lb to my previous weight which should still be ~7 RIR but we'll see how the warmup goes. I have a slightly bad feeling but maybe I should be more bold to scare off the gains goblin from giving me any more micro-injuries.
Well I think it's a great thread op! I'm really into minimal training times. You could say I've taken the MTT pill! You really are a great poster and I'm not just talking to myself because this is a different poster than the op. Let me know about your guys setups.

Went to some great fucking gym during their promotional free day. Holy shit it was amazing. Perfect height safeties on bench with rolling pins, thin plates and barbells with perfect knurling, cups with chalk. Really hard to go back to my shitty uneven barbell with rusty plates and shaky stands. Though I guess it's more HECKING REAL and H4RDC0RE, and definitely convenient, and costs 80 fucking dollars less
Does anybody else find it easier to be consistent with super simple programs even if the time and effort are equated? When I just have ONE basic compound exercise to do each day for a bunch of sets it feels mentally easier to get around to doing for some reason, like it mentally feels like less of a deal.

Cool idea for a thread. I’ve been doing pistol squats for legs and some handstand pushups. How you guys doing today?
Finally a good thread. Thanks op. Me I’m just doing some bodyweight stuff. Would love to hear some advice from you guys!
Just body weight stuff for me, what about you guys?

>>77516458Alright so I did the set and it looked and felt fine although I still got that weird feeling in my lower back after. Not pain as such, but this feeling of it being overloaded or something.Once or twice I got it before getting this QL/whatever strain.Overall it seems like what triggers it is a bunch of volume and getting lower back overly fatigued. My spinal erectors still get pumped to hell and back just during the warmup of SLDL so they are probably simply can't keep up with the might of muh legs.So I'll stick to 2-3 sets of Squats/SLDLs and increase SLDL weight even more to keep the reps lower so lower back gets less fatigued.Good stuff.

>>77516975Yah, I find my shoulder really starts acting up around 1.5 plates on bench, so I just dont bother. I have been tempted to hit a real minimalist plan I have done in the past that works fairly well.Deadlift: 10 min emom, singlesPress: 2x5Alternate that with a 20min cardio.Works very well. It wont turn a person into an elite strength athlete or bodybuilder, but it will make you stronger and fitter than 99% of the population, and with only a 20min/day investment.
>>77516314what do you think are most important / valuable lifts to include? say with bench + barbell + dumbellsi should fit some cardio in too but ive been lazy
>>77517993Nothing beats a good squat/push/pull routine with some curls and ab work at the end.
>>77517849>I find my shoulder really starts acting up around 1.5 plates on benchThat's basically what I do for reps and I had a micro-bs with my shoulder that went away quickly and recently had a minor bs with the elbow that has also went away already (though that was more like 200 lb on the first set).Admittedly my balancing is fucking dogshit and the trajectory is different for every rep.
>>77517327rogue
>>77517993Squat + Stiff legged deadlift + bench press + barbell bent over row is the bread and butter. As accessories you can add: shoulder press, upright rows and bicep curls. All of these are compound lifts that hit a bunch of muscles at the same time. Every time I do bicep curls my upper mid back gets pumped to hell and back.
>>77518092>oh yeah just buy this $5,000++ machine for the logo ;))
so far I tried:>weighted pullups/weighted dips superset works brilliantly but need dip bars >weighted pullups/weighted deficit knuckle pushupsBasically dumb as fuck unless you wanna do singles on pullups + something like 10-15 reps on pushups or ~5 reps on pullups and 30 reps on pushups. The weight discrepancy is retarded.>bench press + bent over barbell rows right afterBretty good. Do last set of bench to failure and it's gonna be a good first work set for bent over barbell rows (you can warmup for bent over barbell rows first, then bench warmup, then bench work sets, then rows work sets).wanna try:>weighted pullups + standing OHP this is good if you do pullups on a barbell on extended squat stands such that you have to bend your legs to not touch the floor when doing pullups - in that case the height of the bar is good for OHP
Lower back anon here. My lower back feels fucking weird after SLDLs yesterday and still. Wouldn't even call it pain but I guess it can be categorized as 1-2/10 pain.I wonder if it's because of my APT or shitty bracing or something else. I had this before the last time I triggered my lower back/side.One thing I notice is on SLDLs I may feel good stretch in hams at the bottom of reps but overall I barely feel hamstrings after while lower back get pumped as fuck. Form looks fine though. For now gonna stick to 1 set of SLDL and squats ~5 reps away from failure, we'll see how this goes.

>>77518141I find deadlifts can help with back pain, but you also gotta look after the front. Ab wheel is great for core strength/bracing for getting rid of back pain.
>>77518253too many exercises, too much timethis is /MTT/ let's stay on topic
>>77518253>just hit lower back every day lolYeah I don't think it's fit for intermediates. I already end up hitting lower back almost everyday.
>too many exercises, too much time>this is /MTT/ let's stay on topicDont pay attention to this retard, he's desperate because nobody's giving him (You)s
>>77518255>I find deadlifts can help with back painMore so than SLDL?>Ab wheel is great for core strength/bracing for getting rid of back pain.I just started these. Love this exercise but doing any more than 1 set gets my abs sore preventing me from doing SLDL/SQUAT/PULLUPS/BENT OVER ROWS the next few days. Gotta get accustomed to it.
>>77518377>>just hit lower back every day lolITs a 3xweek routine bro
>>77518432Oh so ABA or BAB? Yeah in that case maybe. But it's kind of a lot of setup.I'm trying to shave off SECONDS off my sessions by either super setting or picking a second exercise that can be done off of first exercise's setup. Also front squats are fucking stupid and there's literally 0 hinge here.
>>77516314We gotta come up with a punchier abbreviation though. MET had a nice sound to it. MTT is too hard to say, not as catchy.I suggest METT> Minimal> Elapsed> Time> TrainingPlease updoot if you agree
>>77518260>>77518380
>>77516314Info from the original thread:LEGS:>ALL YOU NEED is A SQUAT + A SLDL/GOOD MORNING (especially good if you dont have enough plates yet). >Conventional, not hinge-biased deadlift is either a waste of time or a way to save even more time. So either dont have it at all or ONLY deadlift in which case it's gonna be a SHITTY SQUAT + SHITTY HINGE which when done at least twice a week adds up to ONE PROPER SQUAT + ONE PROPER HINGE>Do 5x5-10 reps WITH THE SAME WEIGHT >Don't progress sets or reps or weight>Progress how little you rest. >Shave off>Get down to at least 3 minCongrats, you are now a WORK MACHINE that gets 5 sets of legs done in ~20 min.So your leg day now takes 40 minutes.
UPPER BODY:>ANTAGONIST SUPER SETS >BENT OVER BARBELL ROWS/PUSH UPS (can do weighted)>BENCH PRESS/INVERTED ROWS (can do weighted)And don't forget: if your squat stands are good enough you can set them high enough to do pullups so you don't even need a separate pullup bar.But even if you don't wanna do super sets, you can still use the same method as with legs and get your rest times down to 1.5-2 min in which case 5 sets of push + 5 sets of pull will take less than 20 FUCKING MINUTES LOL.
>>77518527Deadlift is great wdym. SLDL/RDL/GM doesn't hit the whole posterior chain in the same way. I do two leg days per week, squat+rdl and deadlift+bss. Squat and deadlift 3x5, rdl and bss 5x8.
The less time you spend training, the more you can spend conversing with other anons who are not yourself! There's many other anons who I like to converse with. I really like conversing with the op. Cool guy. Anyways, how about you guys?
>>77518539>SLDL/RDL/GM doesn't hit the whole posterior chain in the same way.Correct, they hit it better. Deadlifts are only good for specifically strength block when you wanna increase your deadlift. Or for beginners arguably but even then I'm not so sure. The way you do it is fine but realistically you're under-hitting your hams. A better scheme is:> Day 1 Squat compound + hams isolation (leg curl/nordic curl)> Day 4 Hinge compound + quads isolation (lying leg extension/reverse nordic curl)
Today Imma BLAST 5 sets of weighted pronated overhand pullups and then down with 5 sets of medium bench press and there aint NUTTIN any of you can do to stop me. 2 min rest.

35, here. Trying to get back into a routine after falling off due to getting married and working a lot. I started waking up super early to lift before work because trying to do it when i get home after a long day feels impossible. Been trying to tailor this routine as well as I can, maybe you guys can rate it.In my garage, I have a power rack/bar/plates and a full pulley system, adjustable dumbbells, bands, treadmill, exercise bike, roman horse and ab roller.Routine is PPL, with cardio between each day and alternating between two versions of each Push Pull and Legs days (Push A, Cardio, Pull A, Cardio, Legs A, Cardio, Push B, Cardio, Pull B, Cardio, Legs B, Cardio etc...)I'm doing this because I'm gonna do a 5k in a couple months. Afterwards, I'll probably switch to Push A, Pull A, Legs A, Cardio, Push B, Pull B, Legs B, Cardio:Push A:>Bench (3x10)>Incline DB Bench (3x10)>Dips (3x10)>Seated DB OHP (3x10)Push B:>OHP (3x10)>Lat Raises (3x12)>Rope Pushdowns (3x12)>DB Bench (3x10)Pull A:>Deadlifts (3x10)>Pullups (3x10)>DB Rows (3x10)>BB Curls (4x12)Pull B:>BB Rows (3x10)>Back Extensions (3x10)>Face Pulls (3x12)>Hammer Curls (4x12)Legs A:>Squat (3x10)>Standing Calf Raises (4x12)>Split Squats (3x10)>Hanging Leg Raises (3x10)Legs B:>Front Squats (3x10)>Hip Thrusts (3x12)>Seated Calf Raises (4x12)>Ab Roller (3x10)Each workout takes anywhere between 30-40mins depending on which one and how tired or slow I am that morning. The cardio between each day is usually 45mins on the treadmill walking/running. Don't use the bike often. I also do a full stretching routine afterward. What do you guys think? Anything you would adjust?
>>77519794>What do you guys think?FUCK OFF THAT'S WHAT I THINK
Ooooh fuck I’m demooooralizing sooo hard
>>77519794>straight sets ins 2026If you're able to get the same number of reps on each of your sets you're sandbagging and not pushing hard enough. I can't believe people still don't understand a concept this simple. If you get 10 reps on your first set and your last one was a grinder (like it should be), you wont get 10 on the next. You'll get 9 or even 8 depending how fatiguing the movement is in general.
Yesterday for me:>Wide grip lat pulldown - 2x6-10>Tricep pushdown - 2x6-8>Weighted inverted row - 2x8-10>Overhead cable tricep extension - 2x6-8>Seated machine laterals - 2x8-12>Cable pullover - 2x12-15Was in and out in 40 minutes or so (with 3 min rests). Love goin to the gym late at night, makes it so much easier to superset stuff.
