For about 3 years I took longjack, L-cirtulline, NAC, saw palmetto, zinc, potassium, and fish oil every day. I stopped over a year ago because I thought they didn't actually do anything and it was a waste of money. But since then muscle recovery has taken much longer for me. It is a very noticeable change. This has been the only thing I've done differently since then. So clearly at least some of them did something. But which ones?

I dont know about the others but citruline increases bloodflow, so it increases performance and recovery.

Maybe NAC, Zinc/potassium (if you're now deficient), or maybe L-citrulline.

My prescription to you: take tadalafil for blood flow in combination with Angion Method 2; use NAC in short cycles when you feel you're kinda fucked up on a cognitopharma level, otherwise once a week; use an electrolyte supplement if you're not getting plenty via salty broths etc; eat salmon (no excuses).

For me muscle recovery has just been... protein intake. I was tired after 3 days of lifting. After taking sufficient proteins after the workout, and also at breakfast the next day, the fatigue was mostly gone.
I'd says for a 80 kilogram man, you need (on average) around 50 grams of protein post workout. And around 15 grams at breakfast next morning. That's for an average workout. Not powerlifting stuff.
