It's pretty taxing on cns depending on how heavy you go but I like tacking them on at the end of legs day to help build my work capacity and muscular endurance.

2 trips to carry in groceries is for pussies

How do you do them at a normie gym without coming off like an asshole?

I do them with kettlebells in the sled push area. Unfortunately the heaviest those go is 2 x 24. I do a single set to grip failure as a finisher. I count my steps rather than timing them.

I farmer’s walk with a 27.5kg and 30kg kettlebell at the very end of my last workout for the week (an upper body day). Those are the two biggest kbs my shitty gym has, but I feel I get more out of having to manage the uneven load. I do 50m then switch arms EMOM, and repeat until I burnout…usually 5 or 6 trips. It’s the perfect way to empty the tank and tell myself that was enough effort for the week, then on to two rest days over the weekend.
