What are some books that you've read or that are reading that have left a mark on how you view life. Finished pic related a couple months back. It's a light read with a simple message but a powerful one. Even if it's obvious it's always nice to remember to never give up.

The messaging in that book is to never lose hope, it's a fantasy book so don't expect anything highbrow but that book has big swinging nuts and is responsible for basically every gain I ever made both physically and in life. I reread it once every few years as a reminder to aspire to be your best self and that the outcome isn't the point, the effort is.

>>77530972Inspiration doesn't have to come from high art. The Stormlight Archive is largely considered slop but Kaladin and Dalinar are a big inspiration for me. Kaladin never giving up and spiting in the face of the life planned for him and forging a path for him and his loved ones. Dalinar becoming a better man despite his failures and learning that his mistakes don't define him. I'll have to give Legend a read. Legend can be read as a standalone but the author wrote a whole heap more set in the same universe if that interests you. In terms of messaging and vibes Legend is his best though.
