Title

I want to do sledgehammer training but I can't get a tractor tire due to it's weight and it taking massive space.
I also can't leave a tractor tire somewhere on the street due to neighbours who will report me leaving a tire on the street(even if it isn't bothering anybody or blocking the road)
that and so much more.
I can't buy a haxe slam pad or a rogue ballistic block since I am from eastern europe. And there is no shipment to where I live.

So I was looking for alternatives and these are ones I found
>they say fitness mats or horse carpets stacked on top of each other is a good alternative - But the results I have seen are mixed
>Pounding sand in sandbox/pit found as a suggestion here https://www.rosstraining.com/articles/sledge2.html
>tornado ball https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSiONxn8lzI

anyway after some researching I have made up my mind on how to go about this.

The reason I'm asking this is because I want to know how messy it would be If I strike a barrel of sand with sledgehammer(I do think of putting a lid with a hole on it so I can minimize the sand spilling) to know If I should go for the second alternative of a tornado ball

Striking a barrel of sand with a sledgehammer would be extremely messy and would fuck with your motivation. The tornado ball however is a great idea as an alternative

i think striking the roof and hood of a car might work. you could also adjust your swing to strike the fenders and hit other muscle groups. i recommend starting on a fresh car each week.

nah, at about 8-10 inches from the ground trying to generate as much velocity as possible, as much power as you can by raising the hammer as high as possible, then pull down in as long ark as possible pulling hips backwards - great for abs i tell you that
or just do cable crunches with the same hips skoot back emphasis - even betterer
