I HATE THIS NIGGER LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE. NO MATTER WHAT I DO, FORMWISE AND WEIGHTWISE, I GET AN INSANE TRAP PUMP
>>77548672lower ur rom, the higher you go, the more traps
>>77548672Traps are always going to be involved in this movement cause it's part of their function as part of your body. I've found that lifting your arms at about at 45 degree angle relative to your torso (instead of the 90 degrees in the pic) helps a bit. My gym also has a very good machine that I use exclusively now and I feel my traps a lot less but they're still involved.
>>77548672This is why mind muscle connection is worthless. Just because you dont feel your medial delts working doesnt mean theyre not doing anything
For me my delts only started growing when I stopped worrying about the weight. Strict, like really strict form, and high volume are the only things to make them grow. Your traps will steal ALL of your gains the moment your form breaks. Delts are pieces of shit muscles, and your traps are way stronger, the moment you start to shrug even one rep that rep is worthless for the delt. People will disagree but some muscles are okay to cheat a bit, but cheating lateral raises rapes your gains.
>>77548672Rotate your wrists so the dumbbell is vertical and the weight is facing up and down lad
what happens if i bend my elbows 90 degrees on lateral raises?
>>77548672Just relax your traps or not, it doesn't really matter, your delts are the limiting muscle and therefore gets sufficient stimulus anyways
>>77548672Just relax your traps or not, it doesn't really matter, your delts are the limiting muscle and therefore gets sufficient stimulus anywaysaha, just try to consciously get rid of natural scapular-humeral rhythm rotating scapula outwards and elevating it opening shoulder joint so that you are able to liarms up, just jam humerus into acromion man, squish soft bits between em - this will grow ur delts :D >>77548792>what happens if i bend my elbows 90 degrees on lateral raisesit prevents scapular rotation >>77548688>lower ur rom, the higher you go, the more traps>>77548695>Traps are always going to be involved in this movement cause it's part of their function as part of your body. Just because you dont feel your medial delts working doesnt mean theyre not doing anythingfeeling is EVERYTHING bitch bot gpt, if there is no FEELING the movement is DOGSHIT - simple as, yes it is that simple: >i don't feel it man, at all it's a WRONG movement for the muscle>but ...there are no butts, it is NON NEGOTIABLE RULE that's front and side:buy 2 medium weight 1m long powerbands, step on each with your feet, UNDERHAND PRESSIN FRONT OF YOU, never press out just hover arond 90 degs of shoulder flexion, make sure you are NOT RETRACTING SCAPULAE, DO NOT PINCH SCAPS, kink rubber on humerus (keep em outside arms), and it's about 45 degs of shoulder horizontal abduction so not all the way forward, but forward

>>77548997>>77549004
>>77548672Just start by internally rotating your shoulder and whole arm. >>77548811>>77548811That is a good cue for me but I like doing them like front raises more and in terms of specific fiber focus you can rotate your hand to focus more front-mid or vice versa. Front raises are all mid delt, if you don't believe me try even replacing 2 or your other shoulder workouts if volume is high already and you'll see it's basically a cheat code to not have to think about form and just hammer out sets.
>>77548672Use resistance bands for those muscles, dog. This movement is the most useless common dumbbell exercise you can do. And the best thing for them is swimming.
>>77548672>insane trap pumpCan we get a rundown of your form please? I'm pretty thick and tight but not exactly juicy.
>>77549027Resistance bands are better because practically you can do more motions, if you get results out of them other than rehab/prehab/warmup then I gotta know what kind of delt work there is to be done. That or your genetics are soo good that you can lift like shit when usually it's just everyone lifts largely improperly.
