Am I fucked? 40 years old and noticed my spine seems to be curving at the bottom. When I looked at the front I thought I’d was just weird fat distribution placement. I feel no pain when I’m lifting and everyone says my form looks fine. Getting an xray next week. I’m just worried the doctor says I can’t lift anymore for a while
13 yr massage therapist here. You've got very rounded shoulders, excessive curvature in the back and forward rotated hips. Search the Internet for those things and find exercises/life style changes you can do. Doesn't appear to be structural so it's likely not too late to start doing things about it best luck baldy
>>77549703OP here. Thanks for the info. Do you still feel it is safe to do heavy squats and deadlifts or would it make it worse? Currently doing 5/3/1 simplest strength with 1RMs of 400 Deadlift and 345 squat.
>>77549733Hard to tell from one picture. Free weight Deadlifts and squats would probably make it worse, anything that compresses your spine is to be avoided for now. Look for stretches and exercises to stretch your spine out and let it breath, do some vertical hangs with no weight and just let gravity do it's thing. A good exercise for you right now might be something like a kettlebell swing, whole body exercise that strengthens muscles that can help pull your hip back into alignment.
