Google's tells me everything I do at the gym is going to end up giving me muscle mass. Is this true? I'm literally cardio only specifically to avoid becoming more defined in anyway. I just want stamina and not to have my muscles atrophy.

What do you do at the gym? Specifically.

Idk. Post more qt 2d tho.

I do roughly an hour of treadmilling or stairmaster or one of those similar machines, which while I'm at it, just feels like I'm walking. I can't see how this is supposed to help you do longer sprints or last longer. I don't touch any of the weights.

You will start to burn muscle from lactic acid I'm pretty sure so it might be localized to those muscles, however cyclists have massive legs and do a lot of high intensity stuff that builds up a ton of lactic acid. Also being at a calorie deficit for so long catabolizes muscle more and more especially with bad nutrients, no fats or carbs(hormonally stunts from hunger+no hormone building blocks), no protein(nothing to rebuild muscle whenever these mechanisms occur).

As far as I know doing cardio has 3 main stages:
>up to benefitting you proportionally a lot
>pushes your performance to the peak
>atrophies even your heart but it takes someone with a lot of willpower or when you just keep pushing and stop caring or push harder for a victory
Something I'd do different as an endurance athlete is not train as much into it besides the first and second stages and to actually bulk up minimally without gaining weight(while also on a week or more of rest) so that you have more energy to tap in to. I find that getting my cardio up is the fastest with sprints but I don't do cardio too seriously.

If you want a smooth and lsim body, do dancing instead, but avoid super strenuous stuff like ballet and breakdance.

That's a big waste of money, you can do cardio anywhere, you can't lift weights anywhere.

It's a good thing that you do cardio. There will be a lot of rapists coming for that shapely ass.

Running is the only net catabolic form of cardio
Everything else will either preserve or selectively build muscle

The point was it is habit forming. Also being able to watch slop while running is a gamechanger and AC.

The point was to be slim AND also be able to endure a full sprint if needed. Maybe I'm totally wrong but dancing does not seem like the best thing for stamina training. Also It's a high coordination activity which will lead to lots of cringe. Also also that seems like a group or activity thing.
