Why did you go to a doctor if you weren't going to listen to him?
Ligament injuries are the most painful and like tendons need a longer time to heal than muscles because they are made out of collagen and need isometric exercises in order to be retrained.
Be ready for 3-6 months of pain, and if you injure it again during that time because you refuse to stop resistance training and never do isometric training it may never heal properly at all.

nah ill stop. im listening to him but you cant confirm tear without MRI i want to know if itll be 3 weeks 3 months or 3 years bro

>3 weeks
It wouldn't be ligaments if it was that short
>3 months
Most likely but also on the low end of the time frame, it'll be more functional after 3 months but won't stop hurting until 6
>3 years
If it still hurts 3 years out you've got that shit for life

Many years ago i had a pretty bad wrist injury. I wasnt able to lift for at least 3 months. I remember chopping vegetables and opening doors were painful for sometime. Both a doctor and a WL coach said wrist injuries can take a long time to heal even if they aren't that bad. I got back to the gym and took it easy, it didnt take me long to build back up and start lifting properly again. I wore wrist wraps for sometime but eventually stopped and not worn them since. You will recover but it may be better to come to terms with losing gains. Hopefully the time it takes to recover isn't too long in the scheme of things.

I listened to that Jeff cavalier faggot about barbell curls with a straight bar. I ended up with De Quervain's tenosynovitis. It's still healing, but fuck me, the other night I was woken up in pain because the wife put her knee on it while we were sleeping.
