Are antibiotics really necessary? Can you go your whole life without using antibiotics?
>>

theoretically if your immune system is in top shape youd never need any. but an average person of poor nutrition could go into a coma and die without it. doctors only prescribe it because thats what they need to do to not get in trouble which is all they care about
>>
avoid it until you really need it

it's very prevalent in thirdie medicine (including in USA) and they think it's a good thing

Antibiotics aren't necessary.... they are used after surgery to prevent infection, or if you catch a serious disease. Otherwise don't use them. They kill beneficial bacteria that you actually need.

I recently had an infected dog bite and took anti biotics for a week. Sorted it out and also fixed my gut, my poos are great now. Without them I reckon my infected wound would've been fucked and I'd have to just lie at home cleaning it instead of taking a tablet and living my life

Yes, never use that crap it kills your microbiome

If you're never in a situation for high risk of sepsis like penetrating trauma, surgery, or serious skin/lung/sinus/bladder/etc infections, then they tend to be unnecessary. Although some foodborne bacteria like h. pylori are worth eradicating if you become colonized.

not that hard to restore after with diverse probiotics desu; I've done several and can eat tons of high-oxalate foods that'd give your average ketoschizo kidney stones just looking in the direction of.

It was, not so much anymore, at least in shartland. Antibiotic stewardship blew up in the last 10 years where even for kids they try to avoid unless the situation is particularly dire. For actual thirdies no, they can still pick up any antibiotics you can think of over the counter and contribute to the rising resistance rates e z p z

You know what else kills your microbiome? Critical illness and/or death
