Are you married? With kids?

Keep them away from your wife at all costs.

They suck by themselves because they only have resistance at the peak contraction but if you use them in tandem with weights/bodyweight exercises they're a nice way to squeeze some more resistance out of a limited equipment situation.

that happens ONLY when you start movement with slack in rubber and go through full range of motion of JOINT, not muscle - they are not the same - useful range of muscle is way shorter, otherwise they deliver perty much constant tension
rubers are way better than anything else in most cases because they have zero inertia themselves unlike free weights machines and cables - there's always weight at the end of the cable stack of the machine, weight changing direction has innate inertia
> for some peculiar reason linked to the fabric of the universe inertial mass and actual mass (like acceleration towards earth's center of mass) of the object are exactly the same, it was never explained why, the closest to do it was Wallace Thornhill but he never quite managed to put it together
because rubbers have zero inertia they are very suitable in delivering CONTINUOUS TENSION to the muscle bell IF you found the right formula in bodily alignment and adjacent musce tension to get it, and that is the actual MOST EFFECTIVE MUSCLE BUILDING STIMULI, that is the true TIME UNDER TENSION, phenomenal for tendon health and strength as well

i just pulled two 1m rubbers standing on em, underhand, played with angles and shoulder positioning, never pressed them out
1. don't wanna damage the pair i'm using for NOT OHP
2. that is not the point of exemercising, at all, the point is to feel the muscle working, if i don't feel it i do not do it, i make adjustments until i feel it
humerus stays below horizontal in my version, there is no point going higher, it's all traps and levator scapulae beyond horizontal humerus and you lose the tension on delts, i also really like the rubbers kinking on outside of upper arms - it's more delt that way

But you can't actually measure the slack you're giving it. This is the same "resistance" as curling a soup can slowly, to really "squeeze" the muscle. It's also doesn't linearly increase in tension, with peak being magnitudes harder than "kind of stiff."

But by all means, waste your time. It doesn't bother me

>But you can't actually measure the slack you're giving it,
but it's completely irrelevant bitch bot gpt
entire exercising for muscle hypertrophy purpose ought to be constant search for feeling in the targeted muscle and rubbers are the best for this purpose as you can pull from ANY DIRECTION
the actual resistance you're overcoming, the weight you are moving is not a measure of anything relevant

elbow to the side in this one:
