Yes, a whole thread dedicated to these fuckers. How do you make them bigger, thicker, juicier, more deliciousl? FUCK!
>>

This thread will get swamped by psoaschizo spam because calves are his favourite topic.
Anyway, zero drop shoe running is a surprisingly decent calf workout.

>>77578751
jog on the balls of your feet, calf raises, be fat
>>
>>77578751
have you tried doing calf exercises? just a thought
>>
>>77578751
Let me tell you a secret, a whitepill if I may.
The secret to developing your calves is massive volume with low weigth.
If you're doing simple calf raises with your bodyweigth, you should aim for 25-failure range and at least 4 sets. You heard me, 100 reps is the bare minimum. Do uphil walks with a loaded backpack. Walk on your toes while in your home. Do random calf raises during the day while cooking or doing dishes or other chores. Put them to work all the time and they WILL grow.

i have huge calves and i think its bc i never understood how to ride my bike so i always strained them to the point of exhaustion going uphill
i was only mildly overweight as a youth btw
>>

Is this retard advice? Why WOULDNT calves grow with progressive overload?
>>
I hate doing calves because during workout it feels normal, then bam, the day after I have to be careful walking.
>>
>>77578751

why do you wanna grow calves when everything you have is pathetic? look at ur chest, back, arms and shoulders, and legs.
>>
>>77578851
they would like any other muscle. The reason people come up with random shit that only applies to x muscle is because they're not stimulating it properly for whatever reason. In the case of the calves it's bouncing the weight with the Achilles tendon

https://bodyrecomposition.com/muscle-gain/training-the-calves

tldr do both straight and bent leg calf training. slow eccentric and LONG pause at the bottom. This will prevent you from bouncing. You might have to drop the weight a lot if you were bouncing previously.

i swear you kids just don't even know what your calf muscle is.
one set of terminators and I've got bigger calves than most people in the gym.

how to do weighted standing calf raises if your gym doesnt have the dedicated calf machines?
>>
>>77578903
smith machine, use a low bench or even just a large plate.
>>
zoomers love to full stack calf press and then basically leg press / bounce off tendons kek
>>
>>77578903
why do weighted calf raises?
calves respond to hypertrophy and only hypertrophy.
you ain't going to weighted exercise your way to big calves, gotta put the work in
>>
>>77578751
By training them directly :)

Truth is, nobody on this site actually knows. I have never seen a single person post an impressive calf pictures, just a bunch of stories.
The only thing I can tell you is that I think these require a ton of work to grow. The only people I see consistently with large calves are athletes in sports that involves using legs a lot. Such as soccer or any martial art where kicking is a main part of the attacks.
Dont listen to hikers, they have the shittiest advice and legs unless they are actually 210lbs or heavier

>run up hills
>run on the front of your feet
>ruck with a heavy pack
>jump rope
>swim
>>
>>77578751
Get fat (or carry a fuck ton of weight) and go hike up and down mountains and run barefoot in sand and up sand dunes. Shit will tear your calves up.
>>
>>77578836
This, the reason only athletes have yuge calves is they only grow through heavy use. Them fuckers should be sore every night when you go to bed.
You can't just do calf isolations twice a week, sorry.
>>

Seated calf raises 3-6 reps heavy until failure.

I can kick a hole through a man’s skull

Incline treadmill daily
