Memes aside, how reliable is Dr. Mike Israetel's fitness and bodybuilding advice?

Hes a volumetard
When its very clear volume is not the driver behind hypertrophy
>>
He consistently preaches junk volume. There are clips of him saying to do 20 sets a week per bodypart and even more if you aren't sore and don't feel fatigued. This very obviously stems from him training like a pussy with 5+ reps in reserve. There's a clip from the vid where he trained Chris Duffin where Mr Kike told him to end a set of leg curls and Duffin said he had more in the tank and he busted out literally 10 more reps. So much for Mr Kike as a coach.

He has also unironically claimed that there being 0 slow down in the last few reps of his sets vs the first doesn't mean that he isn't leaving 5 reps in the tank but rather that for some people you can simply be at 0 RIR and the bar speed stays the same.

There are dozens of things like this that make it clear he's a buffoon, on top of looking like dogshit despite blasting gear for 15 years himself. He's also never coached a single successful bodybuilder despite having a "raw IQ that's higher than every coach".

that he is*

Lifting with a full ROM is good and you should do most exercises like that. The videos where he explains the very basics of training and nutrition are decent if you wanna touch up on the foundational stuff.

Yes, I found his advice very helpful. Been lifting for years and self-taught from random online shit. I've had the most gains and fun in the last few years after I found his channel. Things like properly extending my ROM, speed of the rep, form, avoiding injury and fatigue, etc., have been great.
Also, how to build routines, and giving me ideas for exercises I wouldn't have otherwise known and what msucles they target. Super helpful.
I'm sure some professional will tear him apart, but for a person who is just self-taught and has been on and off with no real goal, it was really useful advice.

I am being honest here. Self loathing Jews are always based.
When you notice you notice it everywhere.
They aren’t as subversive and even have positive elements.

Israteli seems secretly based.

Who is the tall chad?

they call him Mini Mike

>6-10 sets of bench/chest
>5 sets for another few workouts
>maybe high volume again
>rest the movement and probably the supporting muscles like triceps and delts for a few days after a week or 2

Retards like you and him think moving the weight as far as you can is rom

He is extremely unathletic. I know basically nothing about him but I know this video exists and I find it hilarious.

80% of the anons here couldn't do half that shit at best anyway
>>
You don't need a mechanical engineering degree to fix a bicycle. His advice, as with any guru on youtube pushing their "superior methods" is unnecessarily complicated.
>>
>>77582831
Thanks for your input dr mike, but the army fitness is very easy and designed so that even overweight women and high school kids can pass it.
>>
>>77582831
80% of anons here don't claim to be aspiring bodybuilders and fitness experts.

I'm not a roided up midgeymonke
>>77583231
That's the thing you could be a bodybuilder and fail a bunch of that shit how many of these roidmonkeys can run 2 miles or do pushups or pullups?
>>
>>77581780
I honestly can't take short dudes seriously when it comes to lifting.
They will always grow bigger than a tall man like myself purely because they have a shorter stature. They simply do not understand we have to exert much more effort to get yoked.
>>
>>77581780
good
>>
>he's bumping all his dogshit threads from page 10
>>
>>77581780
in general it's pretty good but there are a few concepts that i think are completely extra. periodizing weekly set volume for example is fucking retarded. i ran one of rp's programs for six weeks and the first two weeks were too easy and the last two wanted me to do retarded amount of volume like 60 sets of legs in a week. he also leans way too heavily into iifym diet advice when it's very clear that 99% of serious bodybuilders are just on chicken and rice adjacent diets. finally, he's a cardiolet and talks down about it which is just retarded.
>>
>>77582831
the army test is crossfit meme shit because it's the branch with the lowest quality of personnel and too many people were failing the tried and true basics of pushups, sit-ups, and running. it's incredibly easy to pass and honestly i think the average soldier between 18-22 is probably in worse shape than the average college student.
>>
>>77581780
Mike got me on
>no cardio or legs
I can lift as much as I want and get better gains
>guillotine bench
Extra rom if you want it especially on incline but it only hits pec minor mostly

If you can't sift through a drug addict's rambling for actual knowledge then how do you expect to learn anything about lifting except by yourself?

This happens to me on hammer curls though

bodybuilding =/= fitness
